Back with the secondary protagonists, Shinji has apparently done nothing for the last five hours but try to figure out why the phone isn’t working. I guess the author is trying to keep everything in chronological order. Somehow the laptop’s battery is still going strong.

Another new POV. This chapter’s an interesting one, serving as a counterpoint to the terrible bit with Yoshimi.

Takako Chigusa (Female Student No. 13) stuck her head out from under the shadow of a tree trunk. She was halfway up the eastern side of the island’s southern mountain.

That means she’s between H4 and H5. H3 will be forbidden in a couple hours, so she’s fine, but it seems like she’s in an area likely to have traffic.
