Looks like this is my three-hundredth post!
I think I’m going to take weekends off doing the next book and just focus on catching up. I’m not even done with October yet, there’s six more to go.
truth is, the game was rigged from the start (PM (Stitch, Slick))
This is terribly intriguing, and I wish there was more of it. I’d like to know why the Felt (or Stitch in particular) has taken to digging up graves and helpful brain surgery and who else has gone through this. And I definitely want to know the rest of what happens to PM, and how she’s going to manage to go against the Crew.
Visons (Peregrine Mendicant, Wayward Vagabond, Aimless Renegade, Windswept Questant, Writ Keeper, Ms. Paint)
Dal Niente (PM (AR, WQ, WK, WV, Serenity, JN))
You are feeling perfectly fine.
You see, it isn’t you kneeling there on the gritty soil, while the sky shatters and dusk settles down like a smothering blanket.
This is all miserably wonderfully done.
a city held hostage (PM (WV, AR, MC))
This is an interesting little thing. I love how you describe the place and how PM’s managed to roll with the punches as well as one can.
IDE/Theory (Mom (Bro, CD, SS, HB, DD, BQ))
Emily looked up from her knitted.
Knitting, I think, or else knitted something.
corspesmooch
Probably you mean corpsesmooch, unless you mean C mispronounces things in the same way the kids sometimes misspell things.
“Jo told her to pie Hephaestus.”
Wasn’t that a “him”?
I really like the names, which sound like actual names and not the weird constructs people tended to make out of the guardian’s descriptions, and I love their dialogue. And CD being deadly!
The ending is somewhat unclear on the details, though – was Calvin going through the gate for any particular reason, or did he just want to be in a different Land when the Scratch hit? And does Derse know about the Scratch plan? They seem to have shown up to stop it, but the final exchange with the Queen suggests BQ’s still focused on succeeding on the battlefield, not preventing the Scratch from making that moot.

Five of five! And of those, only one is mixed.
Speaking of which, what is the next book?
Graceling! I’ll be starting tomorrow.
Just looked it up. Jesus Christ, you were right about Kat-Sues. What is with that?
With the exception of Exalted, haven’t all of the books you’ve done so far been by and about women?
I have no idea! It’s just everywhere, though.
Yeah, it looks like it. It’s probably because YA lit is more female than the average genre, and I figure some of the voting is biased toward that as well.
I look forward to this disaster.
