Fuck Sleep Ch1 (SS, DD, Karkat)
“Did you do something about Karkat?”
Slick grinned, baring jagged shark teeth that just made him look twisted and horrifying, even though he was trying to be genuine for a change. “Yeah, I did. Little ambien in his drink, never saw it coming.”
“You drugged him.” Droog gaped for a moment, then clipped his jaw shut and closed his eyes. “I shouldn’t be surprised. God damn it, Slick.”
“Hey, fuck you, that was brilliant.”
And so perfect for Slick. Probably one of the less incompetent moments in his parenting, even.
Fuck Sleep Ch2 (Karkat, SS)
It was still early, his Dad would be sleeping and the house was silent. Normally he’d be at school by now, “Someone better have called me in.” he grumbled getting out and walking downstairs.
Dad shouldn’t be capitalized, now should end in a period and in should have the comma. A lot of similar errors throughout this.
Surely Karkat’s missed school before? Why wouldn’t Slick know about the trouble it causes if Karkat isn’t called in? I can see him forgetting, but it’s like it’s never even come up before here.
The boy spun around, “Do I need a reason to wait up for you?” the kid was shaking slightly, “Do I need a reason to worry about whether or not my dad is going to make it home? If he’s even fucking alive? Do you think it’s easy to sleep knowing that you could be dead somewhere?” he broke free from Slick and slammed the door to his room, crumpling against it and resting his head on his knees.
Eh, this seems kind of simple. Just staying up late isn’t the same as insomnia, and if that was his only reason, he’d go to sleep when Slick returned and he’d be getting sleep at other times rather than being up all the time.
And if the problem is worry I really don’t understand why Karkat switches over to going to sleep and just wanting Slick to wake him up when Slick gets home sometimes. There’s plenty of reasons here for him to be having trouble, but it seems like it’s just fixing itself again without any of those things changing.
Fuck Sleep Ch3 (Karkat (Aradia, DD))
“God damn it, dad,
Being used as a name here, so it is supposed to be capitalized Dad.
“He’s not dead yet,” Slick snapped, and it was the first emotional reaction he’d given since he walked in. Anger, naturally. “They just wouldn’t let us stay with him any longer.”
Karkat slumped down onto the bloodied couch, back against Slick’s side. “… Deuce?” he tried, hopeful. He had a different hunch, but Deuce wouldn’t break his father’s heart nearly as much as-
“Droog.”
Karkat cringed. Slick and Droog were inseparable. Partners. Best friends. Moirails.
…There really doesn’t seem to be any sign that Slick would rank which of the crew he’d prefer to be horribly injured. Also, Karkat himself should know these people and would probably not rank them with who he’d prefer to die based on what he thought his dad would like. It’s really hard to believe he’d be hopeful that it was one person he knew instead of another person. And I don’t see why Slick can’t just be really upset over Droog without this whole tangent.
Were it just the first chapter, I’d rec it, but things went downhill fast.
This is a good example of why I’ve grown to hate the whole moirail focus with them. It leads to people acting as if the relationship between them is the most (or, if PS/SS, second most) important relationship they have, and in the process downplaying or outright removing all the other ones Slick has.
Spending The Night Is Boring (PI, DD)
Good as a PI character study – he’s extremely strange but still obviously competent rather than the useless mess. And it’s nice to see some mention of the fact they’re still on opposite sides and any evidence PI left lying around would be used to stop him. DD seems like he’s just there to be the boyfriend, though – his only character trait here is to fine about letting PI stay over unobserved and not get upset about dismantling his electronics.
The Problem Sleuth gang seem to be the more dominant/favored characters, with the Crew more often bending around them. (This might be related to having human be the default setting, or it might be that would have happened no matter what.)
Caliginous Camaraderies (SS (PS, PI))
Wow does this have nothing to do with the fandom.
==> Innovator: Rub Your Face On Things (DD (PI))
DD seems bizarrely passive and accepting in this.
In Which Two Five Year Olds Go Shopping (SS, Karkat (Boxcars))
Getting really repetitive.
The Idiot Fort (DD (PI))
That’s a clever spin with canon and there’s something great about Droog when he’s drunk and trying to deny the fact.
“Shush,” Inspector said soothingly. “We’re in a fort.”
And PI is perfect here.
The Temptations of Teatime (NB (DD))
Nicely written and it’s interesting to see that part of the PS universe pop up again – it really isn’t very convenient for this sort of thing.

NB (DD)
One of seven.
Also, Aooooooo’s emails are now labeled just AO3 instead of Archive of Our Own in the subject line, which is a much appreciated shortening. Shame the archive itself seems to be melting down.
