Sunday Carapaces Part 5 (10)

I haven’t done nearly enough. I’m like forty behind, it’s ridiculous.

Victory (BQ (BK))

This is an interesting bit of dissonance. They’re so loving and happy and meanwhile Skaia’s burning and she’s gloating any remaining Prospitians will boil alive.

I don’t get how the battle went down, though. Clearly he was able to deal with them alone, but she’s so bothered by him being hurt, yet she didn’t get involved?

Reefer Madness (Crowbar (Die))

It makes you look like a child, and it makes me look like I’m playing favourites. If I’m playing favourites, then nobody’s going to listen to me.”
“I’m… I’m your favourite?”

Oh Die. Even considering you’re high this is still so very, very pathetic. I’d ask if when he sobers up he realizes how bad his plan of sharing his drugs with someone who made his lack of approval on the subject very clear, but I assume that even sober he’d blithely lead Crowbar to his stash as long as a minimum of interest was shown.

So he’s a huggy mess with this and he’s a violent badass when he’s drunk on whiskey and Itchy won’t shut up. Any other fun drug personalities he has, or is it just usually one of those two?

False Flag (Snowman (Felt))

Whiplash-tastic, funny, and surprisingly sweet. Also hey, a part of sex Itchy’s actually good at. Maybe he’d have better luck with partners if he always had threesomes and wasn’t responsible for the actual fucking.

And D: the part with Cans. It’s all fun and dark games and then suddenly actually sad. Except for the part where he actually punches them all, that’s still fun.

Switch (Droog (Deuce))

This pairing is quite cute, particularly considering half of it’s Droog. (Though it seems it may not end well if Deuce is in love and Droog isn’t.)

Technical Difficulties (Jack (BQ))

Delightful, particularly Jack’s narration. And he’s just so impressively terrible at thinking up a clever lie, but I suppose even that’s enough to be convincing when the other person really, really wants to believe you. No wonder he needs the player’s aid to actually pull off exiling her, though.

He sighs with frustration and glances at her ass on the way out

Jack’s life in one line.

Fireside (PM (AR, WV))

So, so adorable.

Hush (WV (PM, AR))

Awkward sweeties. Poor confused WV.

Fake (Snowman (Slick))

This is just such a perfect moment between them. Of course the first thing Slick does after a breakup with his actual girlfriend is to break into Snowman’s room and demand reassurance or perhaps bragging rights that he’s actually great in bed and his girlfriend was just lying. Of course Slick wants to tell her the whole story about how wrong wrong wrong his former girlfriend is. Of course he doesn’t see anything weird about all this. They’re just so tangled up in each other.

Uphill Battle (Droog (Slick))

Terribly convincing for what a relationship between the two of them would look like. Particularly the part about Slick biting.

Sic Semper Tyrannis (BQ (MC))

Disturbing and unsettlingly convincing for all the characters. Though once she does get the upper hand again, I can’t see her doing anything but just killing them the first chance she gets.

Snowman expected

But she isn’t, yet.
