“Third of all, did you ever stop to think that maybe he acts childish in order to hide the pain he feels? “

First off, it’s called “making the story easy on the eyes”. Ever heard of it? Secondly, at what point did I capitalize any unneccessary nouns? Please, explain that. Third of all, did you ever stop to think that maybe he acts childish in order to hide the pain he feels? Many people develop child-like personalities in order to help themselves cope with pain. And lastly, maybe Ash was a heavy sleeper. He is in the anime, I know that much. I mean, in one episode, Dawn had to use Pikachu to wake him up. That pretty much makes the bullying techniques the siblings did pretty feasable. Next time, think before you speak. If you don’t, you pretty much end up looking like a dumbass. :I |

Hey, thanks for reviewing :) I was kind of trying to convey that their relationship kind of fell apart after May moved to Johto, what with her journey and everything. As for Joey, you’re right, that is kind of a plothole (I mean, in HG/SS, he practically calls you every fifteen seconds). Your reasoning is very likely, but in reality I was never going to go this way with it-I was going to have Joey join Team Rocket and eventually go psycho because May forgot about him, but that seemed way too over-the-top. |

Thank you for your review. Other than that, what else could have some tweaking? |

Second off, I will get something done about the backstory soon, as in, next chapter soon. Don’t get too ahead of yourself! Finally, I want to thank you for reviewing. It boosts my spirit to write when I understand that people are actually reading it! |

Thank you very much for the input, I will be taking your advice into consideration and making the changes you suggested. I mean it when I say it’s nice to get something that isn’t brainless flattery every once in a while. I wish you good luck with the rest of your reviewing. And that’s what I wish had more of, people who ACTUALLY criticize constructively rather than flame or flatter mindlessly. If this were true, this site wouldn’t have such a bad reputation and the majority of fanfiction would actually be enjoyable. |

I’ll probably regret asking you this later, but I’m just curious… Why can’t you capitalize the names of pokemon if they are capitalized in the games? |

[ the floors of the caves within is always damp with nothing but an immense amount of melted snow trickling from the roofs onto the top of your head ] I wanted to emphasize the amount of snow there was in the area, which was why I’ve putted “nothing but” instead of “from”. I might have exaggerated on my wording a bit, and “from” would be better. [ He didn’t understand why his grandpa, Oak, didn’t ask of all people but him to collect samples from Mt. Silver. ] The wording sounded right in my head, but I wasn’t sure if it was right grammar wise. You’re probably correct. [ the Pokémon trainer] This though, is actually completely the writer’s preference. I was a bit confused at first too actually, so I took the time to search the internet if I should really capitalize everything or not. Anytime, I really appreciate the time you’ve spent helping me perfect my spelling and grammar. I’m completely new to Fanfiction, and writing myself, I didn’t know what a beta was until I googled it! Haha. Not sure if I’m going to get a beta or not, is it necessary? Having one does seem to be a good idea. Anyways, thanks again. |

Thanks for the review. My teacher hadn’t graded it yet, but now it’s been graded, so I can submit my final draft. I just wanted to see if it was any good. Trust me, it will have more plot to it in the new story. Thanks again for the review! I appreciate it! ~CC~ |

OMG, some honest-to-god restraint in story-telling — in *Pokémon fic*! Two for you, author.
“Leave me alone, Hitler”
I can’t believe this wasn’t your above-the-cut quote.
I prefer “Are you the NAZI?”
I didn’t realize nazis were a single person.
People talk like that all the time about all sorts of things one might not encounter every day. There’s an unspoken “that I’ve been hearing about”.
Now that you mention it, though, if they’d heard of Farla, you’d think they would have blocked her ahead of time, so that may not be what they meant. In which case yeah, it’s pretty dumb.
Actually, it’s impressive how many people whine endlessly about how they live in fear of my dread eye landing upon their fic without just blocking me.
I guess I just glaze over Hitler accusations these days, reflexively classing it as parody.
I really wish Zekurom didn’t call it the “official method.” :| That implies that that camp has more legitimacy than any other, when in actuality, it’s the opposite camp that makes the most technical sense. On the positive side, the thread at least acknowledged that there’s multiple ways of thinking about the issue, and I’m surprised that tickoamy didn’t just say she adopted the context-dependent method. (That’s what most writers in this fandom seem to use anyway.) But then again, it’s probably because the title of that particular section is a case of bad wording, and she thinks that the official method = the right or most commonly accepted method.
Yeah, it’s the “official method” in the sense of “used by the official sources,” so on some level it does make sense to call it that, but the connotations are kind of unfortunate.
Oh yeah, I can get why he called it that, but given all the lovely people in this fandom, it’s so very easy to mistake “official” for “unquestionably correct.”
I suspect that’s largely intended. The people who use the official method generally defend what they’re doing on the basis it’s right because it’s official. The different ways of doing it are describing how people do it, but that’s not truly the same thing as believing all are equally right.
(Next time, think before you speak. If you don’t, you pretty much end up looking like a dumbass. :I) You also look like a dumbass if you respond immaturely.
(i’ve never been to good when it comes to capitalizing and semicolons. thank you for pointing that out; i will go back and fix that soon. just so you know i’m just starting out and i will do better.) Now that’s the spirit! I love it when authors take in the critique.
Triple 7 has a point. If more people weren’t afraid (or too lazy to) post concrit, then people would be improving more (there would probably be more butthurt too, though. :P)
And how the hell are you like Hitler? :S I can imagine some kind of Farla salute now.
I like how this one ended on a high note though, since it was mostly more mature people towards the end. :)
Hitler is mean, I am mean, therefore I am Hitler. Their logic is flawless.
Wait, but you don’t use the German method! In fact, you object to it! Clearly this means you can’t be Hitler. I can’t fathom how zoruarules4 doesn’t realize that.
I guess I only say the capitalization thing to throw people off my true nature of being Hitler. Or maybe I hate the German people now for failing me. There are so many possibilities with Hitlerhood.
How mature.
