Let the capitalization wars continue.

Yeah, I already got that. Sometimes I tend to forget that. |

Though I appreciate the feed back I do want to point out Pokémon names are capitalized in the game, in the subtitles of the anime, and online. I do admit I need comas as well |

I never said this was canon. |

Thank you for your reviews. I appreciate the advice, on both chapters. I know not much happened in the first chapter, it was mainly just to show how he came to be in Sinnoh. In chapter two as I was writing I did feel as though I was being repetitive. But this is my first story I’ve ever written down. Others I have thought of, but never bothered to write them down. However, I promise that it will get more exciting as time goes, thanks to your advice and the plot i have laid out. |

Thank you for taking the time to look over the story, “Shadowed Path”. 1) This is a rather old story that I originally uploaded as one large chapter to a much larger story. It does not reflect my current writing style; for that, I would recommend looking at my other stories. 2) The above depictions of berries and experience points were ideas that I played with and discarded; compare with how game mechanics occur in Retriever of the Exile. 3) As for capitalization of Pokemon species, that’s based on personal preference. I originally tried not capitalizing the Pokemon species, and it bothered me until I changed them back. 4) “Shadowed Path” is not the primary story– it’s simply Insyte’s backstory. The full version can be found somewhere on my site. Again, thank you for your critiques. |

I just want to thank you so much for your review!I’m not the best at grammar so it’s great that people like you take the time to find faults so I can improve on them :) Just one question, I’m extremely new to this site and I don’t know how to edit my one shot to take your advice into action; would you mind telling me how? Another thanks for being so helpful ^-^ |

I am not looking to get into an argument with you. Perhaps I could rephrase? Thank you, Attere |

It’s a shame these aren’t public because then I can offer better explanation. This is the introduction, not the first chapter, if that helps as to why it’s so vague :) First chapter goes into much more detail about the world, plot etc. |

Besides the mistakes that you have pointed out is there anything you liked in the story itself? |

‘I do admit I need comas as well’. I read this literally for a second not realising it was a mistake in ‘comma’ and it confused me. :P
‘Besides it’s my first chapter and story. You don’t honestly expect it to be picture perfect do you?’ You don’t expect it to be perfect- but you do want to help those that have just begun so that they can get off to a good start. :)
I liked DarkUmbreon’s response. Friendly and mature. :)
‘ Well, I thought it might be fitting to the story… other people seemed to like it.’ Doesn’t mean everyone is going to like it, though. That’s the only thing with writing; whatever you choose to do, you can’t expect everybody to like it.
Seems to be going good so far. :) It’s really put me in the mood for writing Pokemon stuff now, but I haven’t written anything I class as ‘worth posting’ yet. :P Are you having fun with the review month?
It’s been passable. Some of it’s good and some of the bad stuff is bad in fun ways.
It’s always a lot more fun when it’s bad in a good way. Like when you get the angry author responses. :P
At some point, people are going to realize that reviews are used for helping your story improve, not for heaping praise upon a story and nothing else. Hopefully if more people start reviewing they’ll realize that sooner.
Also, thanks for putting my fic in your decent stories collection! Just out of curiosity, when you review a fic, do you review the chapters posted during the month? Or just the ones it has when you first reach it?
Just those it had at the time, I’m afraid. I can sort by publish date, or by update date and get everything updating no matter when it was published and drown under the wall of fic.
That’s a brilliant point. :)
It’s been a decade now from my end, and the mass-realization hasn’t happened. It won’t, that’s not how people (especially young writers) are. The best you can do is savor the moments when you do get through to someone (hi, guys!).
