Surprisingly chill responses today.
A response to your review at https://www.fanfiction.net/r/12120797/hello there, i appreciate for your review. however, i do wish you would have rephrased this in a nicer way. i don’t normally post stories on this site for the reasons you stated above. i’m not too good at summaries. however, i have now fixed this problem and i would like if you give me feed back on the summary and perhaps the story as well. thank you for your time.
I’m glad you fixed the summary. (You still have an uncapitalized “Ash” in the fourth sentence, though.) However, I can’t express any opinion on the story, because I have no interest in the anime characters. If your summary had been clearer from the start, you wouldn’t have had to deal with me in the first place. This is why I harp on summaries so much. Don’t want me to look at your fic? Actually tell me what it’s about and I probably won’t.
Golden DreamcatcherHai there! Thanks for the review! I’m gonna be honest here. When I first read your review, I was kinda hurt. But, I understand why you wrote to me like that. Thanks for pointing out my errors and correcting me. Anyways, when you said that labeling chapters look kinda weird, did you mean when I labeled them on the document? Or..?
Also, I know that preschoolers have Pokémon in canon. My story isn’t all that canon, and I didn’t think to say that it isn’t. Should I write a small A/N about it in the summary or first chapter? Also, any characters that are from canon will probably be older. At least, if they are younger than 13-14 in the anime. Something I’d like to point out, though. This is referring to the anime. If younger kids had Pokémon before they turned ten, why didn’t Ash get one sooner? (You don’t have to answer this…)
My first chapter isn’t at all original and I get that. I just couldn’t think of how to start it otherwise. Eventually, I’d like to change the beginning. But for now, I think I’ll leave it as it is.
I gonna finish this up by saying thanks again. I appreciate the review and for the corrections. I’m glad that someone (you) decided to tell me my errors instead of just saying everything is great. How would I become a better author if I didn’t know my mistakes? If you see a mistake or have an opinion on something in my fanfic, please don’t keep it to yourself! Even if it is a bit on the harsher side, don’t sugarcoat it or just ignore the fact that you think something is messed up. Honestly, I’d rather be corrected than to be in ignorance of my mistakes. Thanks a ton. ~GD
ritualropeA response to your review at https://www.fanfiction.net/r/12123893/Well first off, thanks for the criticism. But my reason for capitalising words like Pokemon and Gyrados is because that’s how it is done in the games, so I’m only following the canon. If you encountered a wild Koffing, the game would say “A wild Koffing appeared!” And throughout all of the games, Pokemon are referred to as Pokemon, not pokemon. I’m only following the canon, so I don’t see what’s wrong with any of that.
And my reason for writing Barry’s character like that is because I’m changing his character to help the story more. I wrote about that in my Authors notes btw.
And I do believe Nuzlockes make for brilliant Fanfics if they are well written. If you disagree with me I highly suggest you read Nuzlocke: After Armageddon by mangaluva. It is incredibly well written and the story is brilliant. And it also provides a challenge for the author. They can’t prepare for what is going to happen, so have to write as they play. The story is ever changing.Once again, thanks for the review but I suggest you continue reading as the next three chapters are definitely better written. I’m currently editing the four chapters that are up, so please bare with. Thanks ?

As I said in the review, please direct all capitalization arguments to https://www.fanfiction.net/topic/11834/55376155/1/Capitalization-Thread .

I just read the second chapter and no, you’re writing an OC and calling him Barry. If you want to write an OC, just write an OC, there’s nothing wrong with it. Writing an OC and insisting until your dying breath that they’re totally a canon character is just bizarre and confusing.
A response to your review at https://www.fanfiction.net/r/12106572/Alright cool! Thanks for the correction!
Honestly this helps me out a ton! I really didn’t know if I was doing dialouge correctly, but this confirms it thanks!
This puts an even stronger fire in my heart to do better! Thank you for the criticism and I hope that you like the fic futher on!
