Oh, hey there. Yeah, I’ve taken into account that the Jade/Feferi one sounds rather cliched in hindsight. (Eridan? Funny, it fits better and yet I don’t think that ever even crossed my mind.) Ideas sound great until you realize they’ve already been done countless times. But anyways, I appreciate both the reviews! It’s nice to know what I’m doing well and what I need to approve, so thanks for that. :) |

Hi! Thank you for writing a review! It’s been like a year since I’ve even thought about this fic, haha. It would make sense that there were some flaws, I was fairly new to homestuck at the time. I’ll keep your comments in mind if I ever decide to write another fic, but I probably won’t. I’ve come to learn that I’m not very good at keeping other peoples characters from becoming my own characters. |

I like this blog; it’s fun seeing how people have reacted to your reviews.
That first reply made me crack up. Oh dear. XD And the ‘Go read Harry Potter a s s h o l e.’ Oh, my,my… I like Syvar’s review though, because he/she proves a good point that you’ve got a better chance of improving if you know what’s wrong with your work. And he/she hasn’t given you any excuses. ;)
Do you prefer receiving more angry responses, or more calm ones? Or do you not mind either way?
Well, on a practical level, someone saying they agree with my points and will work harder to write good stuff is good because it means I’ll enjoy the rest of their writing more. But if I can’t have that I prefer the frothing because it’s often funny and also, it means the person does care about their work, even if they’re not going to listen to what I said specifically. “Thanks, but I don’t care about improving b/c it’s fanfic!” is the worst response.
Yeah, that’s definitely true! I haven’t received any responses like that yet, but I’m not keen on that sort of response either.
I think that, whether it’s fanfiction or original fiction, one should always do their best and should also listen to others’ advice. ;)

Farla, I’m sliz225 on ffn, and I’m worried that I’ve written shitty fanfics without realizing it. Most of my reviews are “OMG, this iz soo good, LOL!” I don’t write in most of your fandoms, but could you spare a review or two anyway? I would so appreciate it.
I do a review trade thing, but ask me again when the month’s up, I don’t like to take on extra reviews when I’m chewing through a category.

Oh, don’t take it too seriously. A lot of people get self-depreciating to try to get told they’re actually great, I tend to just ignore it.
