“Plz explain this in english.”
Ohh okay I’ll keep that in mind, thank you~ But as far as dialogue goes, I’d have to disagree since I wasn’t going for being grammatically correct. People do speak in slang so it was on purpose.
Annnd I don’t quite understand your last comment? If you’re referring to the fact that I use all caps in some places, then I’ll respect your opinion.
Excuse me, but this this /my/ story and I choose how to write it.
Technically, you do actually capitalise Pokémon names.
Also, why do you want to go around criticising other peoples’ work? That isn’t very nice, is it?
I write because I enjoy doing it, whether I do it right or not.
So what if you don’t like my writing? That’s your opinion. I write to make other people happy. I write for what they want. Not for people like you to point out every single mistake I made.
They way you say it, it’s like you’ve never made a mistake before, although I highly doubt that.
Nobody’s perfect.
Ever heard of that saying before?
People have /feelings/. It’s hard to pretend your comment didn’t make me feel like writing anymore.
Is that really what you do every day?
Go around looking at fanfics and telling everyone that their fanfic is bad, with grammatical errors?
Because that isn’t being a good writer.
A good writer is a happy writer. Someone who enjoys doing it, who enjoys reading other people’s work and telling them it’s good.
A good writer doesn’t tell other people that their stories don’t make sense.
I write because I enjoy doing it! I love writing so much, although I never said I was good at it.
It’s a hobby, for goodness’ sake, not a job.
Why do you do this?
Do you really enjoy criticising others, making them feel bad?
Because then you’re not a good writer.
You’ll never be.
Isn’t it too bad your stories are hardly better than mine?
Something I find myself wondering a lot this month is if people are really so self-important that they think this is the first time anyone’s thought to say this to me. “Every heard of that saying before?” Maybe the fact it’s a common saying you’d expect everyone to know should’ve clued you in to the fact I already know, many other people have then repeated it to me exactly like you just did, and telling me it again probably won’t have any impact than the last hundred times.
(I apologize beforehand for any misspelling or grammatical errors, and if my answering your review was unwanted, I’m sorry for that as well.)
Regarding the capitalizing matter, in the game – ORAS – pokémon are referred to with a capital P,and since I used the in-game interactions as the very base for my story, and included elements of them there, I wrote in the same way.
I fixed the scavenged part, and I think it’s good now… I think.
Regarding the girl losing to the boy part, I must tell you that I play the games as the female counterpart, and when I reached the scene that this one-shot is based off of, I realized that the text kept going by itself, leaving me with not enough time to write down the conversation, like I usually do. Thus, I looked up that scene on the internet, and the only walkthroughs on YouTube that I could find were walkthroughs with the male protagonist, and the female is the rival. When looking through it all, I got a hunch that the male rival’s and the female’s rival’s dialogues were different in phrasing, but since I couldn’t find the male rival’s words, I went ahead and used the female rival instead.
Where did I do the grammatical error with “its”? That is all I have to say on the matter.
And also, I must say that I am so happy you took your time to write a review for my story! It was the first piece of feedback I had gotten for one of my published stories, and I was caught completely off-guard when I got the review! Thank you very much!
Thank you, that was extremely helpful! Grammar is my weakest point in writing so I appreciated that lesson.
??? I am a thirteen year old kid. Plz explain this in english.

P.S. I check out your profile. You’ve been on since before i was born. Just sayin…
I looked into your review again. I understand what you’re saying, but my spell check doesn’t agree. So there, don’t judge. Blame my computer. :) No hard feelings.

Thank you for the advice. I tend to suck at writing so I decided to use this account again to practice my writing skills. Grammar also tends to hit me into next friday , so any review that fixes my grammar is appreciated. Again thank you for the review.
Thanks, for the review. Did you at least enjoy the story?
People need to stop asking this.

Look, I understand you’ve been doing this much longer than me. I know I’m new, and though parts of the review were constructive and honestly helpful, parts of it got downright mean. I went and made a few edits to make the piece more grammatically correct and make a bit more sense to your standards, but everyone including my friends can see this review and it’s honestly really embarrassing, considering its my first and only one. I stuck to your review and adjusted pieces accordingly, now could you please take it off? I acknowledge some grammar errors, but I also write for my school newspaper, and technicalities like the “18” deal are how I was taught to do it. I really don’t want to get too sappy, but a lot of that review really did hurt my feelings and make me question if I should really be writing this in the first place. I’m sorry if anything I wrote offended you, but I’d really appreciate if you could get rid of that review.
Okay…thanks for the advice! I will make sure that I fix that. So for the parts that have a giant lump of text would you be able to give me an example of how or when to make a paragraph and why?
Thanks, I’ll make sure to remember that when I write my next story.
CoranoHey, I really appreciate the review you posted on my story. I did a quick lookover of your grammar page and I had never thought of it that way before. I’ll make some appropriate edits. Appreciate the feedback!

Subject: re: Your review to Infected (Trailer)
A response to your review at https://www.fanfiction.net/r/10959114/
I was not aware of your rules sorry. If you don’t like it then don’t read it. I’ve read
many stories like this and no one tells them what to do with theirs. I’m using these
characters because I know them really well and I am asking for OC characters so other
people can get involved and help. Don’t go on about being an independent author either,
that’s just annoying. Everyone needs a little help. If you don’t like that, please keep
it to yourself.
The characters I’m using will not be in the Pokemon universe, correct. One point to you.
However I like these ships and their personalities so I’m going to use them.
I like trailers, it is like an extended blurb and people like me would like to know what
is in a story before I read so I don’t have to waste my time reading numerous chapters.
As for Mayple, deal with it.
Sincerely, someone who loves trailers and the surname ‘Mayple’.

Go get a life. Honestly, your opinions are ruining the stories of young authors on this
website. Stop now.
——————–
Interesting sidenote here! Their penname changed in my inbox to something long that was getting cut off, so I went to their profile page to see it was something like This account is no longer in use and their bio saying they weren’t using it now, and both the trailer and OC form were gone. But then shortly after the trailer but not the OC form reappeared (complete with reviews) and their name changed back. My best guess is that for some reason they deleted both and FFN has an undelete option now. Do they?
Thanks a lot for pointing out. I really appreciate that you gave me some feedback, and I know that i am not the best in grammar, but I rely on the software to tell me about grammatical mistakes and according to it my grammar is correct, but I will try and improve it.
And one thing, that dog in the photo, looks really CUTE.
Thank you for the advice. I wasn’t aware that you couldn’t do that. I guess I should be more careful, and make sure to look harder when I proofread. I suppose I’m just not used to checking my grammar and such because I focus more on the storyline and such. Thank you for telling me though. Was that the only spot it happened at? I’ll have to check. I hope this wasn’t too unbearable.
Thank you for the advice. I’ll try to keep that in mind.
However, regarding the magic powers…
This story is based off of a story made by Cats12812 where several of the characters known as “Untouchables” have magic powers. My two OCs I used in this story also appeared in her story. I based the idea off of her story because that’s what she requested for me to do.
You know. . . Cleffy and Roselio are the names of the Pokemon and NOT the species themselves. They are Rozeria’s OCs.
And that phrase you quoted was part of a sentence. Why should she capitalize it? :/
thank you for your review and your encouragement , i do apologize because its been a long time since I wrote and I can honestly say it will be better as I continue

I like your usual descriptiveness, but the excessive use of fragmented sentences in chapter 17 seems a bit odd to me. Nonetheless, it was a nice update! Good job! Also, to whoever is posting rude reviews to Farla, your extreme hate is unnecessary. We are all fellow authors/members of , and we should try to help each other improve in a FRIENDLY manner rather than flame each other (which does absolutely nothing to help). If you don’t like Farla’s reviews, you’re entitled to your own opinion. But at least Farla doesn’t attack other authors by swearing at or insulting them.

The Farla Hater chapter 17 . 2h ago
You are possibly the most conceited asshole on earth. You think you’re so good but all you’re known for is your stupid reviews, you’re probably one of the most desperate authors around due to your stories’s low popularity, you rely on being such a motherfucking attention whore to get people to see your account or reviews. Honestly, hang yourself and it’ll be a step closer to world peace.

how long are you going to do your butt naked dance you attention whore?Dialogue is not written as “Hello,” she said or “Hello!” she said, always “Hello.” She said or “Hello.” she said or “Hello,” She said or “Hello” she said. The only exception to this is if the next sentence does contain a speech verb, in which case it’s written as “Hello dumbbitch.” farla grinned like an idiot, never “Hello,” she grinned or “Hello,” She grinned. Note that something is a speech verb just because it’s a sound you make with your mouth, so generally stuff like laughed or giggled is not in any category. Furthermore, if you’re breaking up two complete sentences it’s “Hi,” she said. “This is it.” not “Hi,” she said, “this is it.” or “Hi,” she said “this is it.” or “Hi,” she said “This is it.” And if you’re breaking up a sentence in the middle, it’s “Hi. This,” she said, “is it.” Also, remember that generally “said” is the best speech verb to use, and even more importantly, “stated” is no*** yada yada yada. is this what you call a review, you nasty cunt?

Falra should kill herself to make the internet a better place.

Warning chapter 1 . 13h ago
You can get sued for your negative reviews, and other things you posted as it already is. But now you are posting your reveiws on other sites. It is not a smart idea because now even if the author deletes your reveiw they still can be publicly veiwed on another site, so now there’s plenty of evidence. In your reviews you seem like a smart enough person but sadly you disproved yourself. Seriously you must be at least over twenty years old, seeing how educated you appear to be, and yet you still act like a child. Act your age, this is something I’d expect from a twelve year old. Fyi, it does not look good when a adult trolls and terrorizes a site used mainly by teens or younger people.
Also violence and negativity won’t solve anything. All it does is foster more hate and more violence. It’s a dumb way of thinking. I have never learned of any war that has solved anything yet, all it leaves is total devastation in its wake and even more problems to solve. If you think you’re trying to be original or funny it’s not working. There are over a thousand people just like you. You are lucky that no one has sued you yet. It makes me mad when I’m reading and see your sad thing you call a reveiw. I hope you read this before you get into trouble. |
This is fucking incredible. I really hope they elaborate on what exactly they think you could be sued for.
Don’t you know? Being a meanie is a federal offense.
My money’s on “””defamation””” since a lot of people seem to think that means “saying mean things on the internet”
Cyber bullying is a good bet if we are talking seriously. A lot of people think it means “saying mean things on the Internet” as well.
Everyone I review is going to kill themselves and then I’ll be sued for wrongful death AND WON’T I BE SORRY THEN.
Maybe they will accuse her of “hindering their freedom of speech” or maybe they will try to make correcting grammar a crime punishable by death…lol…
White text is white.
“It’s hard to pretend your comment didn’t make me feel like writing anymore.”
This sentence shows exactly why it’s important to follow the rules.
” I acknowledge some grammar errors, but I also write for my school
newspaper, and technicalities like the “18” deal are how I was taught to
do it.”
Ugh, don’t people know that newspapers do a lot of incorrect things to save some space since it’s a concern for them?
Also, I can’t understand the logic behind the “I don’t care about my grammar, so I am going to whine at you for criticizing it.”
I mean, OK, so some people don’t care about the mistakes they make. Fine, they don’t want to improve, nobody’s going to force them. But why do they care then that other people point out their mistakes?
They know they make mistakes, so shouldn’t they expect people to point them out? Why don’t they just ignore it?
I think what might be going on is that they don’t know the rule, and they assume most people don’t either, but that those people will care if they learn that the author was doing something wrong. We have to hide all knowledge of grammar so that none of their readers will ever know they made a mistake, and then everyone will be happy.
“P.S. I check out your profile. You’ve been on since before i was born. Just sayin…”
Wow, look at that ice burn :DD
Wait, does that person think your seal avatar is a dog?
What’s the difference? Both make good sacrifices.

To me it always looked like a slightly disturbing and very furry smiley face.
Why do so many people want the Review box to be a Hugbox?
Probably the distinct lack of IRL hugboxes. It’s a real problem in some states.
That part’s actually a bit different than usual. My guess is that the few reviews have made it so a lot of people aren’t expecting anything at all and would rather have a pristine “i’m riting 4 me!!!” story.
I love the ‘blame my computer’ part. Should we also blame the computer for writing the story in the first place? Is this person’s computer gaining sentience and going through some kind of fanfic-writing digital puberty? That seems like an issue worth exploring over the back-and-forth over capitalization.
