An author gets really invested in making me read their anime fic.

Seeing that you don’t even know the plot yet, I’d suggest not trying to force me into changing the base elements of the story. Dimensions are different here than you’d think.
I’ve argued with you about capitalization before, so no point there.
Overall, you did not point out anything I didn’t already know, so I’m good there. Thanks for confirming that you indeed do just love being a jackass.
Please tell me how exactly I am forcing you to do anything? Here, you did not ask politely, you commanded me. I know the difference between the imperative and interrogative mood, and we both know that was a command. Also, notice the modifier I used on the verb; trying. You attempted to get me to change my work without even understanding that I have reasons beyond the first chapter of why the story has the tags it does.
Honestly, you, and this entire argument, are pathetic. Trying to make yourself look all knowledgeable and almighty. This is FanFiction. I can write what I want to write, as long as it fits within the guidelines, which what I write does. Please, spend your time with people who actually need help. If you’re so high and mighty, be an English teacher, or something along those lines. Actually help people who need it, rather than wasting your time jacking off to the angry and triggered replies you receive from other writers who can’t seem to take harsh criticism.
Have you thought about being nicer with your requests? Adding a little personal touch to anything, whether it be a response to some whiny twenty-one year-old man-child who does nothing all day but sit in his mothers’ basement, or a scathing piece of feedback that has almost no use whatsoever, to (and I understand this example might be a little difficult for you to comprehend) a piece of constructive criticism that lists out likes and dislikes, personal thoughts on how the quality might be improved, and maybe even a compliment.
Now, I understand that you will disregard most of this, but I insist on trying to help other people review other works. If a story really is shit, tell the writer clearly, but be nice to people who put in work and try to make stories for others to read and enjoy. What if I told you every single problem one of your stories had, and did that with everything you’ve ever done? Honestly, stop being an asshole, or quite frankly, someone will rip you a new one.

You really don’t know me very well, do you.
If you have a suggestion for changing my reviewing style, the place for that discussion is on my blog Dragon Quill, or this thread here: https://www.fanfiction.net/topic/11834/24493256/1/NaRe-Review-FAQ
Anyway. If you have a legitimate reason for not labeling the fic under anime, that’s fine. But as you said, I had no way of knowing what that reason was or even if such a reason existed. You’re free and, in fact, encouraged to defend your artistic choices, but don’t get mad at people for not knowing everything in advance.
Finally, I remind you that you can block me if you don’t want my reviews.
I’m not some twelve-year old child who does nothing but try to express themselves on fanfiction, I’m here to improve on writing. I recognized that you seem to have potential as a good reviewer. I’m not mad either, I’m just surprised at how quick you were to judge on the first chapter alone. I will admit, there were some few minor changes here and there that I’m making to make the first chapter more logical and reasonable. Those kind of polishing errors are something I want to have to minimize as I try to become a better writer.
Now, answer this. Did you enjoy reading the first chapter of my story? What did you think was subjectively (not objectively) wrong with it. What did you like, what didn’t you like. Take some time, hell, take a full day. I just want to know that.
Also, you’re right. To me, you’re just someone on the internet. I don’t know you at all, actually, except from the very little I can gleam from your writing style.

As I said in the review, I had no idea what was going on. It seemed to me that it was referencing events I was not familiar with, presumably anime content.
No. I should think I have made this clear by now, but I am not familiar with anime canon and have no interest in stories about it. Even if you are melding anime and game elements, my lack of understanding of anime elements impairs my understanding of the story.
This is why I am so trigger-happy with the world tags paragraph. This is a legitimate problem for me, and I find it’s worth pissing off a few people who get indignant over the fact that someone said their anime-related fic was anime-related if it means more people are aware of this feature and use it so I can filter this stuff out.
No. I have seen a few episodes and read Bulbapedia summaries. The anime still does not interest me. I am not doing extra legwork for this. I read fanfiction for fandoms I am familiar with and interested in, not ones that are tangentially related to those interests.
