Pokeauthors Special Spotlight: The Uberteam

Minimal crazy today, just a regular conversation that went long because the author was as longwinded as me. Multiple topics were covered, but the main discussion was about whether or not it made sense for the evil teams to work together.

(This is about the story where Cipher, Magma, and Aqua fuse to create an unstoppable monolith, for context.)

Hmm, didn’t actually know that first part. Most sites, stories and the games themselves always capitalise the names. I’ll reserve judgement for now while I read through that link.
–
A young, exalted Commando of Fiore finds that he ‘had’ no longer a home to return to. Fixed it.
–
I’m titling it for a reason. Eventually, I will have a section of writing that will numerically proceed with Roman numerals. For example, Fire I, Fire II etc. Shit will get confusing. (Forgive the crassness, I am Australian, and it remains a luxury that comes with being one. Keep that in mind for spell checks as well, I don’t use American spelling. Though for some reason Australian’s like to use Oxford spelling in tandem with tidbits of the Imperial system, well, at least the ones I know do. I should rectify that.)
–
I was under the impression that Team Magma was a group founded to awaken Groudon and expand the land mass of the world, while- fuck. Team Aqua, Aqua not Team Skull. Nice catch, I didn’t notice. Regardless, there’s obviously a different backstory going on here; more different than the canon backstory. Villainous teams don’t have to be comprised of kids here.
–
Noted, a mistake is all.
–
Where on earth did I mention that they were the most powerful soldiers ever? I stated that they had sent elite strike teams to key locations, ‘the heart of the Sect’. You could be in a street fight and the driving force that brought it to a close would be the teenager who had run up and clubbed your opponent in the back of the head. Doesn’t exactly make him the strongest kid ever does it? As to your question of “Who,” Google isn’t exactly a secret website. If you don’t know your fake, fictional geography, perhaps googling it could suffice.
–
I get an error on Word, which seems to fix itself when a semi-colon is placed there. It might be a problem on my end, regardless. I’ll resort to a stronger program.
–
Again, Word hasn’t picked up on it. I definitely will be picking up a stronger program, I’m a self-taught ‘writer’, and these things need to be nipped in the bud before they bloom, so to speak.
–
I’m not exactly sure on how all that works. These errors are in part due to laziness and faulty editing software. If someone offers, I’ll be glad to take him or her up on the offer.
–
Uhh, fixed that right away. I didn’t realise how that one word made it weird.
–
Noted.
–
Considering the mindset of humanity in general, we as a race tend to categorise and dictate certain things as fact. I wouldn’t be surprised if the odd ‘law’ or two had been broken by Pokemon that were still being discovered. It’s not like they had a radar that ticked off every single Pokemon in existence, I would assume they discovered and catalogued them one at a time, no?
–
Well, considering Ranger’s didn’t actually train Pokemon as a whole faction, it would be a little hard to just ‘use a Blastoise.’ Why would technology progress towards assault rifles? Barring the reason stated previously. Pokemon are expensive, in time, training, housing, capture and feeding. A gun that shoots a bullet that functions as well as any ice-beam or flamethrower would make a little more sense to use on a mass-scale wouldn’t it. Besides, it’s only a select few countries that use rifles, most major nations think as you do. Why use guns when you can use Pokemon.
–
It seemed to stretch on too much, didn’t think it would make that of an impact upon its removal.
–
Which is why I specifically stated a ‘runt of a Trainer’ I meant it to mean a weak, unlikeable handler; but you seem to have misunderstood? So I shall change it.Thank you for your review, by the way, intelligent ones like yours are fun to read.

secs ago(For future reference, this is easier if you quote the sections you’re responding to.)

[I was under the impression that Team Magma was a group founded to awaken Groudon and expand the land mass of the world]

Which would kill everyone, yes. It doesn’t matter if they honestly thought it wouldn’t, anyone else should be able to recognize it as insanity.

[Regardless, there’s obviously a different backstory going on here; more different than the canon backstory.]

No, it really isn’t obvious. You’ve given no indication Magma and Aqua would be any different than in canon. If you’re completely changing who they are and what they do, why don’t you just make up your own original group? At the very least, you should say they’re a splinter faction with different motives. If you’re going to be using canon names to refer to something different, don’t be surprised when people get confused.

[I stated that they had sent elite strike teams to key locations]

But why would the rangers have elite strike teams in the first place? Pokemon rangers can use pokemon in a limited capacity, but if you say there’s a real military in this, they should logically have not only better resources but better training as well. Seriously, they are the pokeworld equivalent of *park rangers*. It’s theoretically possible to write a story about park rangers saving the world, but it would involve some seriously extenuating circumstances and probably be worth a story in and of itself.

[Considering the mindset of humanity in general, we as a race tend to categorise and dictate certain things as fact. I wouldn’t be surprised if the odd ‘law’ or two had been broken by Pokemon that were still being discovered. It’s not like they had a radar that ticked off every single Pokemon in existence, I would assume they discovered and catalogued them one at a time, no?]

Possibly, especially since pokemon tend to have extremely varied powers, but if so it’s so far off from our own reality that I don’t think the understanding would be the same. In the real world, scientists categorize things so rigidly because that is how reality actually works — the laws of physics have been very thoroughly tested and we are very confident they apply universally. The situation here is more that everything follows its own rules, which… is not actually that crazy, especially if pokemon are a normal part of life so this should be normal for them. It does make science a more volatile and unpredictable field, but again, they won’t consider it unusual if that’s their normal reality. Scientists would pretty quickly learn not to make sweeping generalizations in a world where that isn’t a valid approach.

[Well, considering Ranger’s didn’t actually train Pokemon as a whole faction, it would be a little hard to just ‘use a Blastoise.’]

Rental pokemon exist. If you’re giving pokemon enough agency to disobey stupid orders, they have enough personality to be trained as soldiers. Realism!

[A gun that shoots a bullet that functions as well as any ice-beam or flamethrower would make a little more sense to use on a mass-scale wouldn’t it.]

But you don’t just snap your fingers and invent the modern assault rifle. We’ve been refining firearms for centuries, and the original models were pretty terrible. Yes, I’ll definitely agree with you that mass-produced modern firearms do have advantages over pokemon, just as the more accessible crossbow had advantages over the technically superior longbow, but… do muskets? It’s a catch-22; they’d have to know in advance that this avenue of development would pay off if they kept throwing resources at it, despite initial returns being inferior to already-extant natural resources. Realism!

…Of course, what it really boils down to is this: is it really interesting to read about humans fighting pokemon with guns? Personally, I’d say… no. There are a million stories about hardboiled soldier dudes killing monsters with cool guns already. Pokemon is about, well, pokemon. Pokemon training is the unique idea that the franchise brings to the scene, which means it’s probably what your readers are going to be interested in if you’re posting to a Pokemon fanfic archive.

You may well decide that this is what works best for your particular story, but it is something to consider. This thread has further discussion on the topic, if you’re interested: https://www.fanfiction.net/topic/11834/23620074/1/Modern-Weapons-vs-Pok%C3%A9mon

[It seemed to stretch on too much, didn’t think it would make that of an impact upon its removal.]

It’s just a little grating because that line is such a cliche and it reinforces such boring gender stereotypes. Even if you don’t intend anything by it, using the exact same phrases from our world implies things are the same in this one. The pokeworld does seem to be egalitarian, so it’d be nice to see that be reflected in casual speech.

[Which is why I specifically stated a ‘runt of a Trainer’ I meant it to mean a weak, unlikeable handler; but you seem to have misunderstood?]

Ah ah ah, you just made a big assumption there: “weak” and “unlikeable” are not necessarily the same thing. I mean, for one thing, any human is going to look weak in a pokemon’s eyes; but what about a weak, stupid trainer who’s really nice to their pokemon, like Hau? Like I said earlier, if pokemon have enough personality to dislike certain trainers and disobey their orders, you should commit to that. It means pokemon are people, with all the natural personality variations that implies. They’re living creatures, not perfectly logical fighter bots. (Which would kill everyone, yes. It doesn’t matter if they honestly thought it wouldn’t, anyone else should be able to recognize it as insanity.)
Which is why they would most likely join anyone who could be of aid in their cause. Fanatics are quite useful.

(No, it really isn’t obvious.)
I can think of many successful stories that have started the way I have, introducing a canon faction or character that reveals itself to be dramatically different. I had not assumed this of import. However you had gotten confused, perhaps I should tweak it.

(But why would the rangers have elite strike teams in the first place?)
I was going for a more gritty world. One that obviously relies on military and governmental organisations to keep the peace. I had assumed, considering the Rangers already expanded technology tree, that a faction which relies on individuals and their capabilities in the field without the aid of Pokemon would be justified in having a well trained, if not compact military.

(but if so it’s so far off from our own reality that I don’t think the understanding would be the same.)
I disagree, studies have proven that we have been able to make data from chaos. Not every individual thinks like this, I for one would not introduce anything as hard fact in a world such Pokemon. The majority would disagree considering how often our own theorems that ‘can not possibly be proven wrong’, are in fact proven wrong.

(Rental pokemon exist. If you’re giving pokemon enough agency to disobey stupid orders, they have enough personality to be trained as soldiers. Realism!)
Not very realistic if you’re gonna give a fully trained, battle ready Blastoise to a whole nation. Even if you did possess that many Blastoise to just, throw around to people, then surely you would grant that to your own military first. I would think so.

(But you don’t just snap your fingers and invent the modern assault rifle.)
Why not? Seriously, we have a world with magical beasts being placed in suspended animation and a bunch rocks that forcefully shift the genome of other creatures through violent series of transformations. What about the little birds that can create thunderstorms or the fact that people can put living, breathing animals into computers and theoretically turn them immortal with no side-effects. Can’t I have a cool gun? We already have them in our comparably prehistoric world.

(Of course, what it really boils down to is this: is it really interesting to read about humans fighting pokemon with guns? Personally, I’d say… no. There are a million stories about hardboiled soldier dudes killing monsters with cool guns already. Pokemon is about, well, pokemon.)
Fuck yes it is! And I haven’t seen many of those million stories, besides it’s not like I’m going to have the entire story be about my dude offing a bunch of Pokemon with his damned pistol when he gets mad. This is, after all; a story about Pokemon as you’ve said, so I’ll have to pull that down to infrequent in its commodity. I can also use the argument that we’ve had a billion stories regarding Trainers who have super cool Pokemon and go around slaughtering everything and that we need more variety, (I guarantee you there’s more of those than there are of mine).

(It’s just a little grating because that line is such a cliche and it reinforces such boring gender stereotypes.)
Ugh.

(Ah ah ah, you just made a big assumption there: “weak” and “unlikeable” are not necessarily the same thing. It means pokemon are people, with all the natural personality variations that apply. They’re living creatures, not perfectly logical fighter bots.)
That’s what I meant. In casual speech, If I call someone a runt, then I mean exactly what I had implied earlier. I guess I’ll change it to ‘dickish runt of a Trainer’ then. Heh, I quite like the sound of that.

7h ago*Ranger’s already expanded technology tree*
My bad, I just got back from the gym. Broke several PB’s today on bench and bi’s :P Forgive the sloppiness, I’m high on creatine and BCAA.

secs ago[Fanatics are quite useful.]

No, not really. They’re not rational actors. They’ll turn on you the moment they realize you don’t share their goals. You’d need to not only make a very convincing lie to gain their assistance, you’d have to maintain it for a long time as friction between your groups becomes increasingly obvious. They will inevitably figure out you’re just using them, and then you have a problem on your hands. Even if they’re stupid (which they aren’t necessarily), fanatics are above all *dangerous*; a loose cannon. It seems far more productive to assimilate a group that actually shares their goals, like Team Rocket.

[I can think of many successful stories that have started the way I have, introducing a canon faction or character that reveals itself to be dramatically different. ]

Can I see an example?

[Why not?]

Because that’s just not how technology works. We only know how to make modern guns because of centuries of trial and error and building on previous discoveries, improving by small degrees each time. You need to invent the cannon before you can invent the hand cannon, you need to invent the hand cannon before you can think “hey, what if we made this more accurate” and invent the musket, you need to look at that and think “hey, what if this didn’t blow up in our face so we could actually aim” to invent the rifle, then independently someone needs to figure out you can put the gunpowder and the metal together to make bullets, then you need to figure out semi-automatic reloading mechanisms before you can figure out fully automatic mechanisms… etc., etc. All technological development works this way. We advance through small steps, and each advancement lets us see the next one. Even if pokeworld humans could conceptualize a modern assault rifle, they have no way of knowing how to make one (or that it’s even remotely possible) without figuring out how to make simpler guns first.

[Ugh.]

Can you elaborate, please?

1h ago(No, not really. They’re not rational actors.)
That’s the best part, you think the Muslim extremists in Syria aren’t useful towards their own goals? Why are we still struggling with them then? What about the Crusaders and the bloody swath they cut in their wake in their fanatical beliefs? What about the flagellants within the world of Warhammer? Fanatics are invaluable, the fact that you don’t seem to realise this is downright unbelievable to me. Entire cults, groups, and fanbases thrive off of fanatics towards their cause. How could you say they aren’t useful? Try to be a little more insightful before you argue against me, please.I have reasons towards not including Team Rocket, that’s all I need say for now.

(Can I see an example?)
Better Left Unsaid by Kenchi618, his Naruto goes through a random shift of attitude, stature and magnitude due backstory that had yet to be revealed at that point in time.

(Because that’s just not how technology works. We only know how to make modern guns because of centuries of trial and error and building on previous discoveries, improving by small degrees each time.)
Okay mate, you’re getting a little silly here. Obviously, advanced, powerful prototypes don’t just happen. I thought it would be undoubtedly clear that military organisations exist in my story. I even referenced grunts using ‘sig’s’ when revealing the eight shot, it’s not directly stating (Hey, there are different guns out there and this one’s more advanced); but its definitely more than enough to make the assumption that firearms have been in developement for some time. Especially considering, as I must once again state, that Fiore and Almia are regions that do not make use of Pokemon as tools or weapons. I am NOT, going to sit there and bore the living fuck out of the audience with the evolution of firearms, that’s ridiculous. You also didn’t acknowledge any of the other points that came after my ‘Why not’. Where are the prototypes of the Pokeball? Everyone accepts that those ridiculously advanced pieces of technology are just, well, there.

(Can you elaborate, please?)
Digging for evidence of Sexism, are we? I assure you there’s none to be found. People who look for stereotypes where there are none irritate me, it’s obviously a line that has been in play for quite a while, one that not many people seem to have a problem with besides the special few who do. I’ve used this line before, and my feministic examiner was happy with it.

While it’s been fun, and some of what you provided was in fact useful. I will have to end this here while we can still look back on a civil conversation; you seem to be addressing less and less of my explanations in each message, along with reaching some amusing conclusions in your efforts to critique me. Thank you for your time, and I wish your future endeavours well.

1h agoA few spelling bee mistakes in there, I’m on my phone so disregard them.

secs agoMay I suggest you tone down the hostility? I’m not trying to be uncivil; if I don’t address one of your points, it’s because I found your argument satisfactory. I think you’ve made reasonable points and I just want to pursue these interesting avenues of discussion.

[That’s the best part, you think the Muslim extremists in Syria aren’t useful towards their own goals?]

Towards *their own* goals, yes, but notice how poorly they interact with all other outside groups. The real-world analogy to what you have here would be the Mafia recruiting ISIS. I think you can see how unlikely that would be? Both groups are very powerful and dangerous individually, but their goals aren’t compatible and they have no reason to work with each other. Fanatics by definition are obsessed with a singular, often exclusionary cause; they cannot be bought and are often extremely distrustful of outsiders.

Perhaps I’m framing this wrong. The question isn’t so much “Why did Cipher try to recruit the dealth cultists?” but “What reason do the death cultists have to work with Cipher?”

[Better Left Unsaid by Kenchi618, his Naruto goes through a random shift of attitude, stature and magnitude due backstory that had yet to be revealed at that point in time.]

I’m afraid I’m not terribly familiar with Naruto. Do you have an example in Pokemon?

[I thought it would be undoubtedly clear that military organisations exist in my story.]

Of course. But military doesn’t necessarily imply guns. There are many possible weapons a military can use, and many possible technological pathways it can pursue. The Pokemon universe introduces a huge area of weaponry that doesn’t exist in our world — the pokemon themselves. I felt it would be more logical for military R&D to pursue training and breeding programs for pokemon rather than other weaponry. But yes, it’s true that that doesn’t mean guns can’t exist at all. You’ve said you wanted guns for aesthetic reasons, and that’s more important, so I won’t press the issue.

Although, I’d like to make one point:

[Where are the prototypes of the Pokeball?]

Apricorn balls. Even the storage systems and pokedex are described as cutting-edge technologies that have only just been invented by the time the games begin. It’s pretty clear that there has been a history of developing pokemon-based technology in the games.

[Digging for evidence of Sexism, are we? I assure you there’s none to be found. People who look for stereotypes where there are none irritate me, it’s obviously a line that has been in play for quite a while, one that not many people seem to have a problem with besides the special few who do.]

You’re being awfully defensive when I never made any accusation towards you. You don’t have to be intentionally sexist to say something sexist; our culture has a long history of sexism full of little things we wouldn’t recognize as sexist without examination.

Think about what the phrase implies. When people say that soldiers “leave wives bereft of their husbands” but not the other way around, it implies they were only killing men; in other words, that the men went to war while the women stayed home. That reinforces the gender stereotypes of the man as the protector and the woman as the housekeeper. Can you see why someone might be a little bothered by that, even if they know you weren’t trying to make a statement with it?

I totally believe you weren’t trying to be an evil woman-hater when you said it, and you’re right that it is a minor thing. But I think it’s important to analyze the implications of little everyday things like that; if nothing else, it will make you a better writer if you can understand, deconstruct, and reconstruct turns of phrase.

9h agoVery well, would make me look bad if I just simply ended this here while you still seemed to have more to say.

(May I suggest you tone down the hostility?)
No hostility on my end here, the text does not correctly convey the intent that speech often can.

(The real-world analogy to what you have here would be the Mafia recruiting ISIS. I think you can see how unlikely that would be?)
I don’t necessarily agree. We don’t actually have a real world comparison to the shadow cell ‘Cipher’. Cipher, in my story (Pokemon Gale XD hasn’t occurred, this is Cipher’s second entrance) is less lie the mafia. At first, they were, hosting brutal battles and plotting dastardly schemes to create funds, however, they were defeated before it could bear fruit just like canon. Their return heralded a different claim to villainy, one of domination and subterfuge, of chemical warfare and experimental effects on Pokemon. This seems eerily similar to Team Rocket, no? There’s a reason for that. It’s part of my story. So with this in mind, I would dub Cipher not as the Mafia as our real world comparison, but perhaps the S.S.

As to why they would recruit fanatics? Well, we’ve already covered their maniacal uses. So imagine a bomb, that you could just, send somewhere. A bomb that twists, moves and adapts to inflict the most casualties it possibly could, one that could act as both shield or sword when needed. Now imagine having two of them.

As to what reason the fanatics would have to work with Cipher? Power, influence, and resources. You say how unlikely it would be for ISIS to work with the Mafia, but do you not think they wouldn’t jump at the chance? (they cannot be bought and are often extremely distrustful of outsiders) I disagree with the first part and agree with the second. Who says they cannot be bought? Who is supplying them their weapons? Their arms, vehicles, and IED’s? They do not have the facilities to manufacture such items, not after America and Russia have bombed the living shit out of anything that could be deemed as a plant or factory. Of course, they can be bought. Anyone can be bought.

(I’m afraid I’m not terribly familiar with Naruto. Do you have an example in Pokemon?)
Unfortunately not, I only just recently got into Pokemon after reading some decent stories. But the premise would be the same, even if it was under a different fanbase.

(Apricorn balls.)
I had forgotten about the fucking fruit balls. The most ridiculous premise for a pokeball I have ever heard. Sure, I’ll give you that.

(You’re being awfully defensive when I never made any accusation towards you.)
That’s an exaggeration. If I was awfully defensive I might have said something along the lines of “Fuck you, I’m not sexist” in perhaps a more elegant tone. [People who look for stereotypes where there are none irritate me] This is not a defence, it is a disclosure. I did not mean it literally when I said [where there are none], I meant it figuratively. For example, if I had said to a girl, ‘Wow dude, that’s rough’, and she replied with, ‘Dude? Why do you have to generalise everything under men?’ Now that irritates me. I obviously didn’t intend that, yet the individual took it upon themselves to dig for an offence to take. I’ll leave this here, I’ve ‘fixed’ it in the story despite my views. I am simply not one to take such offence towards something that was not meant to be offensive. That’s simply how I was raised, don’t go looking for fights where there are none, and try to understand the other point of view before jumping to conclusions. It’s a noble mindset that I’m proud of, and wish other people possessed.

secs ago[Now imagine having two of them.]

Two of them that are diametrically opposed and hate each other, though? It’s strange enough for one cult to work with Cipher, but both of them working together is downright impossible. They hate each other more than anything else and their goals are not even superficially compatible. They won’t cooperate for all the money in the world.

[Anyone can be bought.]

Only provisionally, though. Fanatics don’t take orders from non-fanatics. They may feign cooperation, but they’ll turn on Cipher the moment they outlive their usefulness.

There is a way this could work. Recall how the US funded the Taliban to keep the Russians out of Afghanistan during the Cold War. The US military didn’t assimilate or control the Taliban, they were only able to point the wrecking ball in the direction they wanted — and only for a little while, because the Taliban turned on the US as soon as they were the ones who wanted to enter Afghanistan. It was an alliance, not a merger.

It could make sense for Cipher to do something similar here. If they want to do damage to all the other regions, it would be beneficial to point the cultists somewhere and let them loose. Especially if they’re playing both Aqua and Magma — in the games, each individual group does only minor damage to greater society because they only want a few artifacts, but they cause massive chaos when they fight each other. So, Cipher could let the cultists destroy each other while causing collateral damage to Cipher’s real enemies. That would be a good use of fanatic factions.

Basically, I feel like you’re ignoring each team’s individual personality too much. Different factions have different goals and motives. Especially among criminals, it makes more sense for there to be infighting and double-crossing than everyone calmly amalgamating into a monolith.

17m ago(Fanatics don’t take orders from non-fanatics. They may feign cooperation, but they’ll turn on Cipher the moment they outlive their usefulness.)
Agreed. They didn’t get that chance, they were stamped out before such infighting could occur.

(Recall how the US funded the Taliban to keep the Russians out of Afghanistan during the Cold War)
I understand, which is why me above statement nullifies this as well.

(It could make sense for Cipher to do something similar here. If they want to do damage to all the other regions, it would be beneficial to point the cultists somewhere and let them loose.)
That’s what I just said, sans the infighting.

(Basically, I feel like you’re ignoring each team’s individual personality too much.)
I am. It doesn’t make sense for co-operation between the two factions. Which is why the protagonist has mentioned his confusion at their initial joining, I might be using the ‘it’s a specific decision regarding of story’ line a little often here, but… it’s a specific decision regarding my story. It’s not like they were a well-oiled machine, it might seem like I have made it so, though some insight into a basic understanding of Psychology would lead one to assume that there were compromises that had to be made by Cipher in order to keep the two factions from wreaking havoc wantonly. It even might be fun to write a little side-story about it in the future.

Regardless, was there anything else you would like to discuss?

secs agoWell, the thing is, the cliche of “all the teams merge together to form THE UBERTEAM” is so widespread in this fandom that it’s kind of poisoned the well. I can’t take it on faith that a given author knows what they’re doing and that I’m meant to feel something’s up when they do something bizarre, because so many people have played it completely straight. It’s especially awkward when you’re giving this as backstory, so we don’t get to actually see it happen, only a clinical account that’s hard to interpret. You might be playing your cards too close to your chest on this one — the new line about how nobody knows how Cipher got them to work together is a big improvement, but there are still so many stories that say stuff like that and then it never comes up again.

Otherwise, no, I think I’ve covered everything.

2h agoI wouldn’t know about any popular cliche’s in the Pokemon fandom, although I can’t say I’m surprised. I’ve done some research on the world and found that every faction was ridiculously splintered and comprised of idiots. Cipher was the only thing that came close, and they seemed far too small to accomplish anything in the first place; so I threw in some trump cards and decided to make a mini-plot out of it. Rocket was a close second, however, they are part of a scheme that inspired this whole story; giving them notoriety before the story’s start would fuck it all up.

New line? I had thought it was in the original upload, granted I’ve revised it several times already; I may have just forgotten that it was an addition.

Unfortunately, you’re gonna have to trust me on this one. I’ve explored the avenues and found that I prefer the current the best. Considering it’s mingled with the base plot-line, the issue will arise again; unless I scrap the entire plot in the first place and at that point I may as well just delete the story. I assume you won’t be following this story, so I’ll leave you with my assurance of its eventual scrutiny.

“I am simply not one to take such offence towards something that was not meant to be offensive.” Why do I get the feeling this is a white guy.

I really feel like we should make a trollfic about the Uberteam falling apart hilariously.

Bonus points for Team Skull being the only one left standing in the end and in possession of various doomsday devises of other Teams because they just kinda loitered around not doing anything of note, so everyone forgot about them due to infighting.

XD, yeah. Sadly, I haven’t finished my Moon version, so, I’m out.
