oops never wrote down the fact that this was told by mewtwo’s pov.

i’ll keep your advice in mind.

Well fuck, I’d have to say that I’d feel offended if I weren’t so in the wrong. To be completely honest, most of my writing is self taught and learnt from reading books, and I’m no real professional. Though I believe that’s fairly obvious, otherwise I’d more than likely be writing my own original work instead of doing Fanfiction. Now, as for the characters speech, I hadn’t known any of that and am quite embarrassed in being told that I’ve been writing it incorrectly this entire time.
Technically, I only even disagree with one thing you’ve said, which would be the title. Yes, it’s obviously not original and isn’t going to be striking anyone’s attention with the name, but I truly couldn’t come up with anything better, due in part more to laziness than lack of creativity. Despite that, I don’t mind using a worn out cliché sort of title for my story, since any title will suit it’s purpose and it basically conveys what the stories about in it’s entirety. Just the accounts of their adventures.
The summary however, I have no excuses, since I rushed through it and wrote up what first popped into my head.
Now, for ”its” and ”it’s”. Well, shit. That’s about all I have to say about that one since I never even knew abut that.
From ten to twelve, that could have been handled much better, maybe going into more detail instead of leaving it so vague. I’m thinking now that I should go into the reasons pertaining for the age restrictions, which I had originally been considering adding in. The reason would have been because of potential danger for the children traveling, what with being ten and all, though thinking on it I don’t see how being twelve would be much better, more than likely because I can recall being somewhat capable of taking care of myself. That idea of children just traveling the world at an elementary school age is ludicrous and something I’ve despised in the Pokémon (the cartoon at least) series.
Farla…I’m sorry if I don’t have good grammar. It’s just that I’m new and not use to writing for other people. I’ll try to fix that. Thanks for telling me! (I’m not stupid either; I get strait A’s!)

Thank you so much! You are too kind.

‘Professor’ is part of Sycamore’s name, although the first time the word came up I made a mistake there. Thanks for pointing that out! And, just so you know, I use the same types of Pokemon-ified grammar as the games. Therefore, all names of Pokemon species (as the same way you would capitalized the first part of a Latin species name) would be capitalized, as well as said Pokemon’s actual name.
I’m actually kinda offended… That’s where I wanted it to start, right at the beginning of the game. If I wanted to start it somewhere else, I would have, no? Of course hundreds upon hundreds of stories would start that way. For crying out loud, it’s how the game starts! Why would people NOT want to start there?
And (sorry for the raging, by the way) even if someone DOES use a semicolon, that does NOt immediately indicate that they are trying to make a ‘sophisticated’ or ‘intelligent’ image. If I wanted to do that, I would be writing like Tolkien or some such.
Now this little box is flashing around because I used too many lines, so I think I’ll cut this short.
First I would like to say that I am glad my first attempt at FanFiction made it onto your BlogSpot. I was not going to respond at first, given that you are the biggest troll around the Pokémon archives of http://www.fanfiction.net, however my beta reader convinced me to reply and combat your accusations. Before that I would like to say from one “troll” to another, you are not very good at it. Honestly, your reviews are overused copy pastas of things you have said to everyone else you have reviewed. Yet you call everyone else’s writing unoriginal.
You point out things that show your level of Pokémon knowledge, and it is not a high one. Such as the emphasis you put on (What are Pokémon you ask?). If you had any familiarity with the games, or maybe if you weren’t such a try hard at pointing out flaws, you would realize that the beginning of the story was themed. It was set up like how Professor Oak (And yes, that is his name, making it a proper noun such as President Obama) or the other regional professors, introduces players to the game no matter how familiar with Pokémon they are.
That said, I will go back to your tendency to copy and then paste the exact same reviews every time. The main one being the argument that you do not capitalize Pokémon’s names, such as Pikachu or Charizard. You do, though, and that is yet another example of your lacking knowledge in the franchise. I have read the entirety of the Pokémon Special/Adventure manga to date, as well as the other Pokémon manga’s, EToP and PM ReBURST and they all have Pokémon names capitalized. Even the games do this.
I will skip the dialogue argument as it was a large amount of nothing useful, and go onto paragraphing rules. I am well aware of this fact, I use paragraphs correctly.
Then there is:
“[Pokéballs (Devices capable of easy portable storage, which were similar to a TARDIS as they are Bigger on the Inside) ]
Oh for christ’s sake. I’m out. Try writing an actual story and not an introductory primer next time.”
It was a joke, and one that hit home with my friends and more importantly, me. I was writing an introductory, too. That was the point. I didn’t just post the story in the Pokémon FanFiction section, it was posted other places with people not fully familiar with Pokémon, though I would wager they know more about it than you do.
Now, as the epilogue to this response, of course I know they are opposites. The three lines, “My name is Lux. Four days ago I joined the ranks of trainers, and got my first Pokémon. Today, I witnessed the world end.” serves as both the prologue, and the epilogue. Beginning and the end.
So, now that that is out of the way, this was fun. We should do it again sometime. Feel free to post this onto so everyone can see it and you can feel some kind of… satisfaction that you got me to waste time replying? If you ever get in the mood for real trolling/comedy check out or where I do the occasional show or check out my Pokémon themed Facebook page /pokemonmastermordecai and I will talk to you later, Farla.
Thank you for the review on my story. I appreciate your criticism a lot. I have deleted the story, and my friend Flamefox2 kept it up on her profile. We both should have looked at FanFiction’s rules of no duplicate stories before posting, and we both apologize for that.
Anyway, on to the actual review. I will answer your questions and the like.
I want to say that we named Littlefoot Padem, because Littlefoot, alongside of the other characters’ names (like Amissio) just seemed odd and stood out in an awkward fashion. We planned for the other characters (like Ducky, for example) to just call him Littlefoot, because Padem sounded strange to them.
Also, they are Pokemon in this story because, why not? There are Pokemon versions of many things, so I guess your claim is correct. There is no real reason.
The longnecks do indeed have a type-advantage over the sharpteeth–however, this is where you were wrong. I stated in my author’s note that pokemon with elemental powers were extremely rare. And since Amissio has said powers, he did indeed have a type-advantage over the sharptooth that attacked them. Other longnecks, however, do not have said advantage, which is why the sharpteeth are their enemies.
And to conclude, I agree with you when you said that the style of writing is inconsistent. See, Flamefox2 has a tendency to use the adult vocabulary, while I use more simple words. So I guess it is obvious who wrote what, am I correct?
Once again, I thank you for taking your time to read and review our story. :)
I would just like to say that I really love the movie and if you haven’t seen it you should. It’s such a great movie.
Sup Farla! :D I just PM’ed u to say thank u for ur criticism on my story. It was really helpful and u were absolutely right. That first chapter was hideous so I went back and replaced it with a better written one. (At least I hope) So if u have some time, plz go back to re-read it because its longer, promise. :)

I’m…. quite sorry you hated this story so deeply. It… wasn’t… really written to impress anyone, just kind of for my own enjoyment and I just thought I could post it here. Also, I figure since Pokemon is a made up world, I can do what I want with it, and honestly I’m fairly certain many fan fiction writers alter it far more than I have… though you likely know more than I do about the subject. And I might as well just spoil the story to say that her “blameless daddy” is the leader of team galactic, and her mother was a perfectly fine person up until he like, beat her into submission. I was debating on putting that in the summary and I think I might as well now. Especially considering how bland it looks without it, though I was hoping to eventually make it a plot twist, I don’t think it’s worth it. Her mother was just fearful that her daughter would turn out the way her father did, so she avoided her and, the main character has completely botched views of her parents because of it. To be quite blunt, I’m surprised you could assume the father was utterly ‘blameless’ after I described the fact that he never comes to see them, and he has a whole shady back corner on the island. Please excuse me, but I honestly don’t care too much about the gene thing, again deeply sorry if it irked you to the point of needing to point it out. I mean, thanks for telling me how they work, I suppose. I would be completely willing to edit it if you… calmed down a little :/ . Also, because of the whole Galactic origin, she really can’t leave… Anyway, I also don’t really like the whole “sure pidgy can use fly idgaf about proportions” about pokemon, and therefore these other sea Pokemon I listed wouldn’t have had the physical strength or size to support her on what could have been potentially a long, rough journey. That includes the one’s who may have previously learned fly. This I altered much like the age thing, which I really couldn’t care less about, I edited that part to make it seem more realistic. It’s just to me though, I’m sorry if our views are conflicting. It’s rather amusing to me that you even took the time to read my authors note, that was very committed of you! You are an impressive one, are you an editor by any chance? If not, you should be! I think you found practically every flaw possible in such a small space. Also, I don’t recall the semi colon usage, however this may have been directly after we learned their proper use (my sophomore year, that is. For that same class I wrote a paragraph for that same class COVERED in them! Only then was I told they are not to be used often. I think this was around the same time, as I am fairly certain that I already took some out when I read over it.) I do run on sentences a lot as well, as I’m sure you’ve noticed. And I promise I know the difference between it’s and its I just always resort to one or the other without thinking. It’s one of those things I don’t quite notice when I go over my writing. This is also why I think you would make a superb editor.
I am sorry it was so terrible to you, I wrote it years ago and I didn’t find it as rough as you may have, actually I was excited when I found it, so I decided to write another chapter that I have yet to post, though I doubt you would like it. I also apologize that my response was so long. Serious writing is not my forte, I must say, I tend to do better in humor. Though, you may dislike that as well. In fact, I was on the fence about this already, your opinion helped solidify things for me.
All in all though, it was nice of you to take the time to point out all of the issues in this for me, as I think that was your main intention. So thank you, and I do mean this sincerely.

jes, i know my grammar is horrible. and place just let it go. why do u care if it’s a story or not? no hard feelings OK?
This has got to stop. When you review someone, you should know the difference between constructive criticism and flaming someone to just go ahead and jump off a cliff. It’s people like you who ruin the joy of writing for everyone on this website. It’s very repulsing the way you react on someone’s story. If they need help on a story; tell them about it. Calling the whole thing bullshit is NOT a form criticism, they call that ‘being a bully’.
It’s disappointing that someone like you, who has a talent for writing good stories, can end up like this. And I believe others agree with me. So go ahead, post this. Post this in front of EVERYONE so they know what you have done to people who have just started on this website and how you ridiculed them.
You want my advice? Stop being a jerk or just shut up completely. We’re tired of it.
What an excellent capstone!
I am split between being happy that these kids have not experienced true flaming, an despairing that they confuse critique with flames.
If it makes you feel better, the balance sure has shifted from the old days of omgflamzzzzzzzzzzz being the only reaction.
Not for me it hasn’t.
My most recent response:
“Oh my God, get a life and fuck off you little cunt or dick of whatever the fuck you are. Why don’t you go find some other sap to bitch at? You’re a bitchy little self entitled drama queen. Don’t like my story then don’t fucking read it. I know bad stories and my was no where near bad. You’re whining and bitching about a fucking group of people who I have nothing to do with. PLus the fact that you’re just slamming my story all because you don’t the FUCKIING COUPLE is the immature fucking thing I’ve ever heard.
So eat a dick and go trash someone else’s story, okay fucker?”
And then, of course, the second review I ever got:
“Like the last reviewer said, I could not make sense of the review you
gave my story. Then I realized… You called a perfectly fine and funny
story moronic because you are so stiff, humorless, and stuck up. Your
stories are boring and your sense of humor is 0. Your style is rancid.
Now, how does it feel when I do it to you?”
Well, you’re reviewing outside the pokemon category, right? Every area has their own culture, so you’ll have an uphill battle before you beat them into relative compliance.
