“Also, you should be glad I didn’t accuse you of plagiarism yet for not using proper MLA Citation when you quoted that part from my story in your reivew. Don’t mean that offensively, but you should be thankful.”
Also, this is post #1111. Truly fitting.

Thank you for the very much constructive criticism. I know it’s not perfect, but it’s also not an AP English essay. I just ask that you don’t correct every single chapter with every single little error you find. I hope you continue to read.

Okay, a few things. First up, thank you for pointing out my mistakes. Second, could you explain to me what an OC is. And third, the reason I made Ash’s past so different was to show the darkness that was in his past for a later chapter. If you get what I mean. Again thanks for helping with my punctuation, I was never the greatest at it.
I didn’t know they were banned and I’m sorry, but how do you know it would be a waste of EVERYONES time? Some people are actually wanting to read it so it’s not exactly a waste, so what you are saying is everyone = you. Sorry, but no.

Yo dude thanks for the review. I will do as much as I can to improve and this does help. Just relax a bit, i’m not a professional writer i’m just here to make something for people to enjoy and actually partly for myself. If you don’t enjoy it fair enough. Thanks for the tips and sorry its not up to scratch. I will improve.
The Immortal Doctor ReidFarla, you may or may not have read my story, if you have, I assume that the grammer was good enough so that you didn’t leave a review. Anyway, I want to say thanks, it’s because of the reviews you leave on other stories, that I’ve really developed my writing and fixed a lot of stupid mistakes. So again, thanks.
Thanks for the dialogue and grammar advice. I thought I had the right dialogue format, but we don’t go into much detail in it at school, only the part that you don’t do “Hello.” He said. They taught us to not do a period and then do the he said thing, and the comma and exclamation point and question mark. I will remember your advice and I will also go back and fix the chapter. Sorry that it was a boring chapter, I knew it was, and I really wanted to get the more interesting chapters out soon. This is my secondary story, so I don’t work on it as frequently as my first one. Anyway, I try to make my stories as grammatically correct as possible, but I usually am worried about getting it online. If you have other corrections, questions, or comments, feel free to send me a private message. Thank you again for your help, I’ll keep those corrections in mind. Have a nice day.

wow looking at this reminds me of one person who put a review like this on my first story yours is longer still rude but not as rude as the one
Hello and thank you for you review.
I do know what a proper noun is thank you. I’m not sure if it was set like this at some point, but it just so happens that as recognised brand name, my spell checker tends to capitalise the word ‘Pokemon’ automatically. I plan to rake out the capitalised mentions of Pokemon, however I currently don’t have the time.
I’m glad you pointed out the error in tense, that’s a habit of mine and I often don’t spot it.
Hope you enjoyed the story and once again, thank you for reviewing.

Ourian ClemmensI appreciate the feedback man. Truly I do. However, the reason I go into painstaking detail about anything I do is because whenever I write a story of any kind, they ask for a detailed description to be added in the story. Also, as for the slow start, They are short chapters. There are also plenty of books and stories that start off slow. Finally, I would like to point out that this story never really had any thought put into it. It’s pretty much just something I am doing for a friend of mine that was kind of a spur of the moment deal. When I start posting my Mega Man fanfiction “Mega Man: The Soul Seeker” I promise you that you will see what I am truly capable of.
But seriously, I do appreciate the advice in your reviews.

look… everything else I get… however, the part where you dislike the 15 year old thing is not my problem. it’s my story and I will tell it how I want. I appreciate the insight on everything else and I will take that into account. However you have no say in the matter when it comes to the plot of my fanfiction.

You know, you don’t have to get all grumpy about it. And by the way, I did do spell-check, it’s just that google docs is apparently a bit weird. I always upload my files from my computer instead of using the Copy-N-Paste function ffnet has. I don’t have Word anymore since I got my new computer and Word is too expensive right now. I can’t afford it yet without taking a huge hit on my funds. First priority for saving up money right now is a new iPad. I can’t be spending money left and right if I want to get a new one. Also, hopefully, when I’m typing messages, it’ll stop being unresponsive to some keys.
Also, half my story isn’t authors notes. I have a quite a bit of content. I was going to make the chapter longer, but where it was seemed to fit, so I decided to cut it short. Everything was set up for the later chapters. Of course, knowing when to cut a chapter short requires a lot of feel which is something you probably wouldn’t know about or understand.
A lot of books start off kinda slow and then they really pick up the pace. I have a feeling that this story is gonna be like that. Once it hits battle time… I’ll just say that you’ll be surprised. I actually haven’t written a tournament yet, but I’ve read plenty of them including writer-under-training’s Road to be a Pokemon Master. I get how to balance good strong battles with the other necessary elements of a story. Now it’s just a matter of demonstrating that knowledge.
A little patience never hurts. Neither does a little faith. And I find it rather hard to believe that you are quitting the story due to a simple error. The Authors notes aren’t as long as you say. Also, you should be glad I didn’t accuse you of plagiarism yet for not using proper MLA Citation when you quoted that part from my story in your reivew. Don’t mean that offensively, but you should be thankful.Perhaps in future chapters, your opinion will change. However, I am sure that no matter what, they will be much better than the first. If you quit, you’ll be missing out on something great. Wouldn’t that be a shame?
A final note for this message, some people just can’t be saved from the clutches of evil and hatred. It’s apparent to me that you have experienced something traumatizing recently regarding writing. Also, if you think you’re disgusted by my works, try reading some of the other stories on this site…
I don’t know what people find so hard to grasp about the fact that if I stop reading their story I’ve stopped reading their story.
Thank you for your review! its a old habit of mine and thank you for your tips!

Aye, thank you for your review. I am currently in the process of
rewriting this story since I just realized how shitty it was. I suspect
the new draft to be released by the 18th. Once again, thank you for your
review.

You’re Proabaly right I could have done better on this story

AceBlaziken63Thankyou. Finally someone reviews who I didn’t ask for an opinion. I’ll try
to fix as much as I can. I know pogress is slow, but what about story
wise? What are your thoughts? Once again thank you.
fixing everything and word wasn’t making sense on some of the
grammatical corrections. So I appreciate that.
But about my story plot, it isn’t all told, so maybe touko accepted the
kiss for something. I’m not going to give away the story or anything
like that.
I’m just saying. I aint trying to fight you back on this cause I know that would just be dumb and get me no where.
I’m just trying to make the story good and different from different
stories. N and touko are my favorite couple so I’m just trying something
new, like a more confident N and a weaker Touko. Maybe, or something
different.
I hope my story gets better and makes more sense along the way.
I really appreciate the review.
(Even this message might not make any sense… haha its late and I’m tired.)
:)
Love,
A fellow fan fiction writer.
Yeah.. writing this in wordpad isn’t very good for grammar so there will be mistakes in grammar.
I was trying to write this in the thoughts in Sparks… and thoughts aren’t usually totally complete
now looking back it is a bit choppy… maybe I could have gone without this prologue
Thanks for the review
cute baby seal btw

Dude, you’re arguing with a 9 year old. Get the fuck out, it’s MY story
with MY rules, and by the way, I can’t help capitalizing those things,
it’s called a HABIT. We all have all sorts of habits, I was trying to
use details, FOR ONCE! You know what? This story was useless anyway, I’m
deleting it. HOPE YOU’RE FUCKING HAPPY!
there! I wanted to thank you for reviewing my story! I appreciate your
words, and I will do my best to fix things for the upcoming chapters.
Working with dialogue has never been a strong suit of mine,
unfortunately. My beta usually catches things like that, but she is both
out of the country with limited internet annnd we decided to take a
break from each other for a while. So I attempted to do it myself. I
guess it could have been better.^.^’
Capitalizing the names of the pokémon was a decision I made after a bit
of thought. As a reader myself, I thought it looked better, though I
know it may not be the best choice grammatically.
Thank you again for your review! I hope I can look forward to your criticism in the future.
I don’t know how to post chapters and they wont let me fix the misspelled words
Uh. Thanks I guess? I don’t know much about stories considering I suck
at writing them. I forgot to change the rating and my grandma’s computer
sucks really bad and I don’t have Microsoft word anymore because it
“expired” so I have to type in the copy and paste box instead of
uploading or actually copying and pasting a story so sorry there. And
I’m not the only who wrote a rape scene for an “innocent” story like
this. I’m not trying to be rude but don’t criticize my story about the
content when I made a small mistake alright, I’ve had enough teasing in
my life to know I’m worthless so please just don’t.

I’ve edited the story a little. Thank you for the review.
The most baffling excuse to me will always be, “A lot of things are shitty, so it’s okay that my thing is shitty!” And so the bar will continue to lower.
It’s especially poor during review month. “Why are you singling me oooh wait I guess you weren’t….”
It has made me wish FFN would enforce its own rules halfway reliably, though, since I’m sick of people defending that on the basis no one else gets deleted.
“Also, you should be glad I didn’t accuse you of plagiarism yet for not
using proper MLA Citation when you quoted that part from my story in
your reivew. Don’t mean that offensively, but you should be thankful.”
HAHAHAHA, cheeky.
“And I’m not the only who wrote a rape scene for an “innocent” story like this. I’m not trying to be rude but don’t criticize my story about the content when I made a small mistake alright, I’ve had enough teasing in my life to know I’m worthless so please just don’t”
o____o
What’s weird about rape-writer is that the response feels very tumblr with its oversharing pity me but but tumblr is also rabid for tags and trigger warnings. Maybe the tumblr fans have imported aspects of the culture into FFN-proper, so feral newbies are picking it up in isolation?
I wouldn’t doubt it, I’ve also noticed that tumblr itself has weird little communities like the people who are rabid about NEVER EVER REBLOG WITH YOUR COMMENTS PUT THEM INVISIBLY IN THE TAGS, so it’s entirely possible there’s a weird tweenage tumblr world with all of the oversharing but none of the boundaries. AND IT’S LEAKING. DOO DOO DOOT.
The no-commentary craziness seems like it’s the dominant group, at least in the fannish quarters (apparently it’s because they also uniformly decided it’s insanely rude to just delete someone else’s commentary, therefore everyone’s commentary must be transitory so no one ever is put in the position of deleting commentary?)
[Of course, knowing when to cut a chapter short requires a lot of feel which is something you probably wouldn’t know about or understand.]
[A final note for this message, some people just can’t be saved from the clutches of evil and hatred. It’s apparent to me that you have experienced something traumatizing recently regarding writing.]
What.
Some of these authors are just so bizarre. I guess they’re trying to lash out at you and don’t realize their sick burns are just confusing nonsense?
” It’s apparent to me that you have experienced something traumatizing recently regarding writing.”
Did you see this blog? Of course she is exposed to traumatizing writing!
It’s not just “recently” either!
No see clearly it is I who is lashing out at them with nonsense!
Speaking of things such as “plagiarizing,” is it just my browser, or does FFN now disable copy-pasting text from fics? Because on the one hand, I can understand why you’d put a plagiarism deterrent in place like that, but on the other hand, it’s both harder to help out people who need betaing and to read longer blocks of text, if you were ever like me and highlighted text as you read.
It might be the browser. I can’t copy-paste in Firefox but can in Internet Explorer.
That’s probably because IE is crappy enough not to support their fancy no-touchy code, god bless it. I’ll have to remember that’s an option.
Yeah, it’s not the first time they’ve tried that but it’s definitely their best job so far at it. I had to download a plugin to get around it and using it breaks the page a bit so I have to reload a normal page to actually post the review.
