Well…I did say I wanted constructive feedback!
Seriously though, thanks a bunch pal. I know full well I’ve still got work to do, and I’ll try my best to fix everything you suggested in future chapters. Hope you can enjoy the rest of it!

Whoever you are, I would like to thank you for critically reviewing my grammar. I didn’t realize that it is supposed to be written that way, though it could be one option.

Perhaps it’s just my habit, but I tend to capitalize things like that, so thanks a lot.

However, as to regards of where I should post this story instead of this website, I believe it is my choice. I’m not really here to make a name for myself or anything. This fic, for me, is a risk I would like to take despite not getting any favourites or follows. I apologize if you find this offensive and is against your reasoning, but this is where I feel my fanfic should belong.

And by the way, it has elements of Pokemon. Also, it’s just one chapter; I haven’t even started explaining the state of the world as it is. Either way, I would like to say thank you once more.

That, or you could be a troll. I prefer the former.

Firts Thank for the review, I apreciated it, really.

Like I said im a noviece in this so I cant made it perfect from the begin, english isnt my firts language thats why some times it doesn’t made sense but im learning.

respect the plot I already have one and I can assure you that is totally diferent of the regular PMD stories. Maybe you are right and I should rewritte it again.

The Pokémon species in my Fanfic will be always with a Capital letter and I have a reason for it that would be made sense later

It is just centering in the prologue but Thank you for tell me.

I will search for a beta reader but that is something hard when you dont meet anyone that is perfect in english, im trying my best on my own but if someone could help me I will apreciate it

Thanks for the advice about the line, I will put them now

And about the prologue thing it will have sense later but Thank you again for everything.

Seriously Thank you for the review, I really apreciate it, I will try to do it better over the time, Thank you again

57m agoIf English isn’t your first language I really recommend writing in your native language instead. Writing in a foreign language is very difficult. There are beta readers here: https://www.fanfiction.net/topic/11834/42724996/1/Beta-Signup

Thank you so much for the link. I really apreciated it ^^

That’s what, twice now we’ve had foreigners trying to learn English by practicing it in the most difficult way possible? Why do people think this is a good idea???

Someone from July also chose to suddenly follow up for some reason:

Thanks for reviewing my first chapter! Although I did want to let you know I intended to write this story just for fun. If you don’t like it that’s fine. But don’t you have anything better to do than criticize me and my writing? If not then I ask you politely to never read my story again or review it. I want to have fun with my story. I don’t want somone to criticize everything I write because that definitely won’t motivate me to continue the story. I understand you’re the kind of person who gets off on being negative and looking down on other people, but please just leave. I’m doing this story for my instagram followers, and I’d prefer they don’t see harsh and criticizing reviews from people like you. So yeah…in others words…don’t ever review again because I don’t care if my writing is bad or not in the least.

Jul 13You can block me, you do realize?

7h agoI do realize that. I just don’t see a point at the moment. You can read my story or whatever and give me advice. That’s all fine. A little tough love is good too. But when you’re just plain nasty and mean and trash talk me…well, that’s just completely unnecessary and extremely rude.

And to answer a question…yes, I do have a story and plotline. Multiple plots in fact. You can’t just expect everything to happen in the very first chapter. And I intended my first chapter to be short. I actually want my first four or so chapters to be short with the rest being longer.

I do thank you for giving me advice though. And honestly I completely disagree with you. Just because the end of the chapter didn’t end on a cliffhanger or finish after a scene, it doesn’t make it “bad writing.” I intended it to be that way. And if you think it’s bad writing still then fine. Whatever floats your boat.

Anyways, I’m gonna start posting chapters every three days or so starting tomororw. Read them if you want. Just know I’ll block you if I have to…since that was the only thing you mentioned in your reply to me.

Good day.

secs ago[But when you’re just plain nasty and mean and trash talk me]

I have done no such thing. Grammar corrections and pointing out that there’s nothing unique about the story are not “nasty”, they are actually pretty neutral. Those are all objective facts, and may not even necessarily be your fault — it’s not your fault that everyone else has already done the same opening, thus diluting your story, for instance.

Just because you intended something does not mean it’s a good idea. It is actually important for first chapters to be long and meaty, because if you hide the interesting parts of your story behind a few chapters, you have no guarantee people will ever get that far. It’s better for you (and your story) to advertise that stuff up front. If you read lots of published books, you’ll see this often — and those generally require a lot more initial investment than a fanfiction on the internet. 2m agoThanks for the advice. I read the thing you linked me to and it was helpful. Although I still think I should be able to write whatever I want to write…even if that means doing what everyone else does or not.I’m gonna stary writing my second chapter now. I do admit my first chapter was a but sloppy…mostly because I didn’t really plan out what was gonna happen. I just sorta started writing and went with it. Anyways, continue to read my story and review or whatever. I actually want you to give me advice.

And yes….you were being rude. You can deny it all you want, but whatever. You can give helpful advice without saying some the things you said and the ways you said them.

Thank you for your review and tips. I did make some of those changes that you mentioned. I just get a little too excited about stories sometimes that I forget some of the most basic writing and grammar checks.

First of all I want to thank you for your review.
As little excuse I have to say I am not native english so some grammars are pretty confusing to me.

The capitalizing of the pokémon species in my story is more or less a mistake due to the auto corrector. I will try to correct that and thank you for noting me that.

About the chapter naming I am still unsure and experiment around a bit. Once I decided I will change it.

About the paragraphs I want to thank you to pointing that out. XD I somehow forget that all the time.

The sentence will be changed soon to make sense.

Like I already said I am not native english and this is one of the gramma rules that always confuses me.

Last but not least your last point. This is not the first chapter at all, this is a Prologue. Also It was meant to not tell everything at the beginning. I mean where is the sense of a longer going story, if the prologue/first chapter already tells the whole story information so you can figure out everything yourself befor you even really started to read the story?
Also I personally find it much more interesting if you get some questions in the beginning of a story that you can’t figure out. It makes the story more interesting.
I have already seen some of your reviews and nearly everywhere (as I saw) you wrote this and it is a very subective topic. You can never know if someone likes something or not. Just because something isn’t like you would do it, it isn’t automatically bad. It depends on the person who reads the story if they like it or not. You maybe should consider that in future.
In the end if you just search long enough you will always find something similar of course but you can’t say that just because somewhere exists something simlar that it isn’t unique.

Ok I already see myself that I am getting a bit too much into this. I hope you don’t feel offended I didn’t meant to be. Side note: You should consider an a bit nicer tone rather than such an objective way. It sounds a bit harsh. I know you don’t mean to but a sentence like: “Even though this the chapter is nice.” or “I hope you don’t feel offended I just want to help.” makes it much easier for the one you are giving a review. Especially if this one is writing his first story here.

secs ago[As little excuse I have to say I am not native english so some grammars are pretty confusing to me.]

That’s not much of an excuse. If you have a lot of trouble with a foreign language, I don’t know why you would attempt the most difficult possible application of that language until you understand it better. At the very least, you should get a native speaker to work as your beta reader.

Thank you for your review. And I really mean that. The first time i read through it, I was crushed. It felt overly negative, and it made me angry. The only reason I reread it at all was because I was angry and tried to come up with points refuting everything you said. However, the more I read it, the more I noticed that the criticism was not negative, only the words chosen were. And now everything makes more sense and hopefully I can build off it. Also the grammar is extremely helpful.

Just to be clear, this story is more for me than anything. I mean, I want people to enjoy it and everything, hence why it’s in story format as opposed to just making a list of what’s happening, but people reading it wasn’t really my reason of putting it up. I’ve wanted to complete a challenge run for a while, but I tend to give up or bend rules until there isn’t a point anymore. I figured posting it would give me the push to stay with it. But I do want the people who do read it to enjoy it, so taking your suggestions is something I plan to do.

As a side note, the prologue was to be shorter. More of a place to put the rules thsn anything else, and the first chapter was to be put alongside it. However, due to technical difficulties and a lack of paying attention, I lost most of the first chapter and have to rewrite the whole thing. My wife suggested I added what was didn’t get lost to the prologue to make it a bit longer, that way I would at least have something to build off of so I don’t just scrap the whole project because I had a few setbacks.

My question is do you think I should rewrite this entry? Or should I just add more meat to the next part of the story? I don’t write much, so I’m trying to be open to whatever I get. I’m also not trying to make excuses for my writing, to you, or myself, or anyone. I know that it is the best way to backpedal and get nowhere in anything.

Directed them to the writing guide.
