Thank you for your review. I haven’t written much in a long time, so having a second eye helps a ton.

I’ll do my best to fix the things you pointed out. The part about dialogue is very helpful as well, because I often have trouble with it. Thank you.

‘Preciate the critique. Using single quotes has always been a thing I did for thoughts, even after learning they’re improper. Old habits, I suppose. Still, going to make the suggested edits and rid myself of this habit.
Thanks again!

I’ve actually been working on the dialogue again, so I’ll be posting the updated version soon. (Thank you very much for posting in such detail!)
I understand if you found it kind of rushed (the introduction, that is). This prologue was actually going on for pages and pages when I first was typing it out (and often going of topic in the process), so I decided to do my best in focusing only on the main point–how she falls into the other world. However, I do agree that more elaboration might be necessary now that I’m reading it again for the fifth time. I think I might add a bit of Eva’s past, since it’s really unclear at this point…although I was planning on discussing that in later chapters. But, if it’s to attract the readers, I will do what’s best.
I haven’t read any of the other PMD fics yet (I don’t mean to sound haughty or snobby when I say this, it’s just that I’ve seen a lot of people getting blamed for copying others’ ideas, so I decided not to read any of them until I was done with mine) so I don’t really know if what I’m doing is setting it apart from them…I know, it’s kind of dumb, but I don’t want to be accused later on. However, I sincerely believe that the core plot of this fic is unique. It might not show right away, but I believe that it will get there.
Thanks, again! :)

Thank you for your jurk review for my poor writing, even though I’m still learning and I just made this story today. I hope you feel good about bagging on a new writer’s story that this person works hard on to keep up my dream to make me and others that like MY form of writing. If you don’t like my writing than don’t read it. I don’t need your constructive bull.Again thank you for the review and I hope you have a nice day

You do realize this works both ways, right? Nobody’s forcing you to read my reviews if you don’t like them.

You know, somehow I knew it would end up being this way. My teachers in school (especially AP history) always complain that I don’t go into enough detail. I guess the big problem is really that I end up getting impatient when I write, especially under pressure (well there’s not much here, but I’m paranoid regardless). I’ll try to make the upcoming part better; it’s just opening that I particularly have a little trouble with, especially drawing away from the exposition-style speech.
Thanks for the grammar tip too, I’ll fix it in a bit.

Thank you for the info and I did not realize, there are a few stories I’ve read here where the author asks for ideas so thank you for pointing that out. I’ve revised the story and hope it is up to par with the standards of the readers. And again thank you for the info.

Yeah kinda forgot to remind you that I’m still learning about this site, therefore I dont know how to get a beta reader, you seem like a good one though :D. Also it’s hard for me to write the perfect story since English is not my native language but I’ll try to hone my writing skill. thank you for the honest review :)

Writing in unfamiliar languages is very difficult, and English is a particularly hard one to master. You might want to write in your native language instead.
1- in the manga Brendan has sharp, ruby red eyes while in the game he has blue one. which one should i pick?
2- I think this is lame but what do you think of pokemon dialogue? like letting them talk with their trainers and such. i know few writers tend to let the pokemons talk but i need your opinion in this matter, if you dont mind.

[I think this is lame but what do you think of pokemon dialogue?]
It’s a complicated issue that can radically change the nature of your story, so it’s good that you’re working it out early. There are many arguments for and against it. I would advise checking out the discussion thread at https://www.fanfiction.net/topic/11834/142476358/1/Pokemon-Intelligence and deciding what works best for you.
I would advise not having them talk, simply because that’s a lot easier. If you’re not planning to address the major changes in the trainer dynamic this would necessitate, it’s probably best to leave it alone.
I could not care less about canon characters who aren’t N, so, eh. Use your own judgment there.
You know, the green-haired guy who can talk to pokemon?i hate everything

Sir, or m’am, I understand that you like to critique on my grammar and punctuation but so far that’s all I’ve receive from you. You didn’t give out the positive side of this chapter. Also I use capitalization on words such as “Pokemon” because to me it seems off and strange plus like I said in the chapter itself, there’s no humans in that world. If you’re a critic, you should know to talk about the positive side of the chapter instead of just the negative. I could ignore this review due to me not seeing anything positive about it but this is the first time that has happened to me, so I’ll let it slide for now.

Thank you for your review, especially with the part about the semicolons. I’ve found that writing long chapters stresses me out… a lot. For that reason, I prefer to keep chapters about 1.5k.
As for the naming capitalization, I have capitalized them across all of my stories and will continue to do so. It is the way I prefer. Thank you again!
Jun 23
[It is the way I prefer.]
Mmh… why, though? I don’t prefer them uncapitalized for no reason; capitalizing common nouns like that tends to cause a lot of confusion, and confuses things even further if you’re using species names as personal names (as the PMD series does). I prefer to remove that ambiguity for my readers.

Thank you for the feedback, I will get right on fixing those things you pointed out. I am definitely planning to not use POV switches as much in the future, although I may still use them occasionally if I feel it necessary.
Once again thanks for the help, I definitely want to try to become a better writer. Your help is much appreciated.

Make it rain, Kyogre! Writing fanfic is a low-stakes way to practice your english, good for that last person. (Although looking at a novel in english to be sure of the conventions would help.)
