In which an author does not throw a tantrum when learning their story violates the guidelines! But also a lot of people block me for petty reasons.

If you just gonna review to correct me, then I suggest you keep it in pm,
This is by another reviewer, but my answer is the same:
https://www.fanfiction.net/topic/11834/24493256/1/NaRe-Review-FAQ
“Q: Why didn’t you just send me a PM?
A: Because I don’t have to, for starters. Why are you so concerned about the fact I pointed out a mistake in public rather than the fact you made the mistake in public? Additionally, people have a tendency to exaggerate or outright lie about the content of my reviews already, and I can only imagine how much worse that would get with PMs. Finally, while you may be mortified by the idea others are reading your review, those others are potentially learning from it, which is more important to me.”
Um, yea. But I prefer if you point out mistakes about spelling in pms, and mistakes about the plot in reviews. I’m a really easy guy to chat with in PM’s about spelling, if your really that concerned about my spelling
“Finally, while you may be mortified by the idea others are reading your review, those others are potentially learning from it, which is more important to me.”
I am asking kindly. Please either pm me to correct my spelling, or else I’m going to have to ask that you stop following me and my stories
And btw, the reason why i am saying this is not because I’m mortified. Moreso, I actually want my review section to be about tell me what’s wrong with my story’s plot, not what’s wrong with the grammar
And I believe that grammar is just as important as plot. If you disagree, block me and you’ll never have to hear from me again. And then they did. They also deleted and reposted the story.

Oh thanks for telling me, I must not have noticed on the guidelines that it was banned. Sorry

Oh, you’re just precious! Look, this was done through the Copy N Paste section. I couldn’t do it on the computer, so, yeah, I could fix it. But that would be a little hard. I know this is gonna get bad reviews, it’s my first story on here, so of course that’ll happen! If it makes you happy, I’ll take it down and try to fix it.

Hello.
Thank you for the review. I apologize for the mistakes in it and I will try my best to clear them.
I am a new writer in the fanfiction group and I had no idea how to draw the line between the authors note and the story. If you could help me, it would be great. As for the punctuation errors, they are purely my faults. I will try to change them as soon as possible.
Thank you

The line is a feature of the in-site editor; you have to open the draft in “Manage Stories”. There’s a button at the top of the editor that inserts a line.A response to your review at https://www.fanfiction.net/r/12757295/
You sent me the exact same review for my last story. If you’re going to review stories in the vein of trying to help give an author pointers, then it should actually be aimed at the individual story, not just try to push how you believe things should be done. Also, general rule of thumb to stick by is for ever ‘criticism’ you give two positive comments.
Please do not send generic copy and paste things as reviews. If you dislike how I write, simply exit the story and move on to one that’s more to your taste in writing style.
Thank you for your time.
No. Make a cookie cutter mistake, get a cookie cutter response. Take ten seconds to fix it and I won’t even see your story at all — I filter out anime fic by default. And blocked! That’s also a solution, I suppose.

Thank you for your review, I’ll try editing the story

Hello and thank you for the advice, I’ll look up on them.
On the subject of Arceus lying down, in my story, it can choose to temporarily retract it but in this case the hay it lays on buffers the sharp bits of the golden wheel.
Thank you for the attention.

Always a treat to see you on my stories (not sarcasm, you’re one of the few people on this site that give constructive criticism).
I’ve corrected the errors you pointed out, though there were two things I wanted to talk about.
The first is your comment about the the girl not letting Ray into the group because he didn’t have the Cobble Badge. Though it doesn’t make sense to cut parts of the city off to non-trainers, this is an alleyway populated mostly by kids. From the moment they ignored Ray to the moment the girl refused to let them in, I just wanted to establish that this was just a classic case of shitty kids being shitty kids. Its not like these were official battles because, like I said earlier, they were in an alleyway, away from the general public.
The second thing I wanted to talk about was Salandit gazing at Lucario, specifically, the part where you called into question its breasts. I’m fully aware non-human mammals like Lucario don’t have breasts. This was just meant to be a silly little joke. (I mean, have you SEEN some of the disgusting fanart of female Lucario? Good lord). If you want to really get serious, then why would a reptile be attracted to anything other than another one of its species? Its for comedic effect. We occasionally see interspecies romances and attractions in the franchise (such as the wild Quilladin being attracted to Serena’s Eevee and Braixen, and Dawn’s Buneary being attracted to Ash’s Pikachu). But why breasts? Because its a decent/cheap laugh that establishes Salandit’s personality.
Also, this story doesn’t have that long of a plot at all. I’d say its around 25 chapters or so.
[This was just meant to be a silly little joke.]
Jokes still have to make some degree of sense, especially if you are fitting them into a larger narrative. I’d even argue they’re much funnier when they do. It actually does make sense for the salandit to be attracted to other species, because pokemon can reproduce with anything in their egg group, but it would be more funny if it was attracted to something we wouldn’t think of. There’s one thing I’ve seen mentioned when another reviewer looked at a pokemon/trainer romance: what if he’s attracted to the shortness of the fur around her mouth, because that’s a sign her fire-breathing attacks are extra-strong and there’s nothing hotter than a woman with high special attack? (That makes more sense for a fire-type but you get the gist.) It’s something that looks utterly absurd on the surface, but actually makes sense if you think about it. I think jokes are funnier when they hold up like that.
