A response to your review at https://www.fanfiction.net/r/12835231/ Request-based stories don’t count as “interactive”.
They do if you are posting a chapter telling people to request stuff. The greater point is that non-story chapters are also not allowed. If you need a request to get started, you should have made this post on a forum community — that would also help gauge interest, and give you more publicity over the long term. (This story can fall past the front page if it goes too long without updates, which will decrease the your chances of drawing in new readers.)A response to your review at https://www.fanfiction.net/r/12838506/ Thanks for the helpful advice.
I’ll try to keep all of that in mind as I write the story and any other stories I will write in the future.
A response to your review at https://www.fanfiction.net/r/12839329/ Thank you! That was extremely helpful. I went back and edited a few things. It’s already looking better, I think. I’m always hesitating, is pokémon’s plural pokémon or pokémons? I’m glad you liked the idea. I always wanted for a trainer and their pokémon to have a camaraderie but it doesn’t happen terribly often. Yeah, I pretty much chose 13 arbitrarily. I just wanted him to be younger than 17 as I have a rough time line but it’s not set in stone so I’m going to tweak it a bit. Also I remember being eerily mature when I was in middle school (didn’t do me any good though). I’ll just be careful when writing someone in their early teens I guess. Also I was planning on him being a certified therapist by his late twenties but receiving a rescued pokémon before then is an option :D.
And I went with therapist, or Pokétherapist in this case.

“Pokemon”, no S.
Goldmineempire5Get lost! That is my fanfiction and it ll be the way just like I want. You want to teach people Grammar go get a job in some school. Don’t bother people on ffc.

And if you don’t like certain reviews, maybe you shouldn’t be posting your story publicly.
Regardless, I filter out anime fic by default. Label your stories properly and you’ll never see me again.

First of all Pokemon is labeled under Games. Second of all nobody likes to read your reviews. You think I didn’t notice the reviews by other viewers on your fanfics? They totally roast you off
And finally who the hell you think you are to just filter other fics?

You could try actually reading my reviews. https://www.fanfiction.net/topic/11834/165132256/1/World-Tags
[Second of all nobody likes to read your reviews.]
Most people do, actually. Don’t let vocal minorities fool you.
[And finally who the hell you think you are to just filter other fics?]
I don’t watch the anime, so I can’t understand anime fic. Seems reasonable to me.
If you don’t understand then that’s not my problem. Don’t review on my fic again. I will capatalize Pokemon names if I want. If i want to use other words instead of said, I’ll use them. I don’t need to ask yousecs ago
[I will capatalize Pokemon names if I want.]
Sure, you’re free to make dumb decisions. I can’t stop you. But other people are also free to call you on it. If you don’t like that, take your fic elsewhere.
For me in particular: I review a lot of people, and won’t remember you the next time I encounter you. If you don’t want my reviews, you need to block me.
Dumb decisions? I see that coming from only you. And I would be surprised if anybody agrees with you. Also I ain’t taking my fic anywhere else sister.
So what If you review? Everybody ignores a pathetic lifeless loser

[Everybody ignores a pathetic lifeless loser]
Except you, it would seem. If you don’t care, stop sending me messages about how little you care.
Do you not know how to block people?

(I am a man.)
It would be even better if you blocked me so we don’t have to have this conversation again. The option is under “Account”, on the left sidebar there.
And then he went silent. Hasn’t even blocked me. I wonder if revealing I was a man had anything to do with it.
AnonnyMouse54321A response to your review at https://www.fanfiction.net/r/12840315/ Yeah. You’re right. I’m sorry. Story deleted.
What? No! Just because I didn’t like it doesn’t mean no one will! If you delete your stories you’re just going to fall into a neverending cycle of dissatisfaction with your work. Even if it’s bad, it’s better to keep it around so you and others can learn from it.
I wrote three chapters with no editing at 4 AM after like 30 hours without sleep, and I haven’t played Y in years. I reread what I had after I woke up, it was freaking awful.I never understand why so many people feel the need to post immediately.
A response to your review at https://www.fanfiction.net/r/12841336/ Thanks for the critique! This entire thing was posted pretty late at night. For me, it being around 12 at night for me. So, you can imagine I was too tired to really iron out any little mistakes or anything in the story as I didn’t see them at the time. So, I will get those fixed to the best of my ability ASAP. My grammar is not the best either so any mistakes in writing this, then sorry.
For the beta readers thing, I’m not a very social or trusting person of complete strangers. I have slight social anxiety so I only trust close friends to help me correct any mistakes or anything so, I will have to decline that offer, but thank you for it however.
As for the capilization, in Pokémon and Pokémon Nicknames/names and species names, species names like Charizard, Litten, etc. Are always capitalized, and having them not be is actually incorrect.
As for that part with Sycamore, I haven’t played Pokémon in awhile or anything so, I don’t exactly have a good grip on the characters personalities or anything, although, in the next series part, I will add an explanation for that part. Also, Arceus is seen as a kind of “God” Pokémon, and, honestly, in my own head cannon, are seen as the gods of whichever region they live in, but Arceus being the main one for seemingly creating the world and legendary Pokémon, so some or most people would see them as such. This is, only a hunch as I, myself, have a bit of limited knowledge on Pokémon, so please correct me.if I am wrong.
As for the POV switches, this is going to be written as a series. I haven’t written one before however so I’m not completely sure if the POV switches should continue or not.
As for the Nuzlocke part, I will try in my own way to make it work. If it doesn’t, then it doesn’t. But I won’t stop trying to make it work. And trainers and Pokémon share very strong bonds over time with each other, they willingly will give their lives up for their trainers and many take very good care of their Pokémon as well. If the trainer didn’t take good care of their Pokémon or forces them to do things they didn’t want to do, didn’t take care of them, etc. Then yeah, that’s abuse.
If I sound really dumb, rude, or anything then I completely apologize as that wasn’t my intent!

You’re not on a deadline, I assume? Next time, sleep on it and look it over in the morning before posting.
If you don’t like beta readers, then you’ll need to find grammar resources on your own. https://www.fanfiction.net/topic/11834/21887406/1/Writing-Guide-Part-One-Grammar is a good start, but there are more extensive resources elsewhere on the internet. Grammar Girl is one I know of.
[As for the capilization]
Capitalization discussion goes here: https://www.fanfiction.net/topic/11834/55376155/1/Capitalization-Thread
[As for that part with Sycamore, I haven’t played Pokémon in awhile or anything so, I don’t exactly have a good grip on the characters personalities or anything, although, in the next series part, I will add an explanation for that part.]
That wasn’t about anything Sycamore would do specifically, it’s about what any trustworthy adult would think in that situation. People, including family members, have in real life kidnapped kids by doing exactly what her brother does here. Any time someone says “I want to separate the kid from their parents and also don’t tell anyone”, that’s a red flag.
[Also, Arceus is seen as a kind of “God” Pokémon]
Not in-universe. I discuss this more at https://www.fanfiction.net/topic/11834/162324520/1/Pokeworld-Religion — I provide these links for a reason, please actually visit them.
[And trainers and Pokémon share very strong bonds over time with each other, they willingly will give their lives up for their trainers and many take very good care of their Pokémon as well.]
Being nice to someone does not obligate them to die for you. Does the trainer still get all the fame and reward as they do in canon, even though it’s bought in pokemons’ blood? Do the pokemon have any choice in this? Can they back out of a battle if they think it’s hopeless? Can they run away if a trainer turns abusive?
12m agoI’ll do my best but, it’s a bad habit of mine to stay up as late as possible doing something I’m determined to finish. But, I’ll do my best to break it. And I’m not but I’m currently in school right now and may or may not have time to post things.
As I said before, the part with Sycamore and such will be cleared up in the next series.
For the part about Arceus, I won’t use it in sentences like, “Oh my Arceus!” Or anything like that because, well, that sounds dumb. To me, just saying the pokémons name in the beginning of a sentence or so, isn’t bad to me. Just personal preference.
I like to think most pokémon and trainers are like family, which is why they would die for one another. Pokémon do have choices, but they are able to make them for themselves. Yes, they can flee if they see the battle as pointless and everyone else will follow. I’m not too sure on gym battles however myself. What do you think? And, no. They are unable to as they are bound by their pokéball. Only when it’s broken, accident or not, can they be freed from that trainer.

It’s more a matter of, why Arceus and not literally anyone else? They’re in Kalos. Why aren’t they swearing by Xerneas and Yveltal? If they’re going to be swearing by foreign gods, it could at least be one of the ones that canonically has a religion, like Ho-oh or Lugia.
[And, no. They are unable to as they are bound by their pokéball. Only when it’s broken, accident or not, can they be freed from that trainer.]
If they can’t leave, it’s slavery. This topic is discussed more in this thread: https://www.fanfiction.net/topic/11834/142476358/1/Pokemon-Intelligence

The other regional legendary/god (I.. Don’t know which to go by, sorry.) pokémon are in this. Arceus won’t be the only.one in this, but not actually make an apperence, except Xerneas and Yveltai as they are in their respective region.
And, well, I guess it is slavery..? In many cases, pokémon are freed if they so desire to.
If you have any questions about anything at all or something, then just ask. And sorry if I seem nervous or anything, I never really well, talked to a critic full on like this before and my anti-social side is kicking in.

Agh, I wrote a long response to this but they blocked me before I finished.
You know, I never was too sure how the formatting in dialogue worked, I mean I got the general gist of it but never the whole thing so I appreciated that. Honestly I almost got you mixed up with Farla when I first saw your critiquing review haha. But yeah man I do appreciate the information I can take from that, proud to know I at least got the non-capitalization correct!
A response to your review at https://www.fanfiction.net/r/12837260/
Thanks very much for the review. I’ve just refurbished the chapter with (hopefully) the typos erased and grammar cleaned up.
There are a handful of things I disagree with – ‘isolate’ is an uncommon but acceptable descriptor, synonymous with ‘isolate’ at certain instances; I changed it to desolate to avoid any confusion regarding it being a mistake to be safe.
The pieces regarding the story you were unsure of i.e. the description of Unova, usage of ‘Pokémon’, reference to ‘bull-headed men’ in myth – that is all deliberate. Though I don’t intend to make the universe entirely transparent over the course of the story, details will be made clearer and minute aspects of the world will be inferred, if not outlined outright. I appreciate help with proofreading, since the style can be more difficult to parse than the prose of an average story and I don’t want to confuse things further with errors. I don’t agree with the necessity of things like capitalisation of ‘the devil’ but don’t feel the need to debate either; elements of style are partly subjective.
And of course, my choice of words was deliberately done, and any confusion of interpretation is as much an issue of the reader as it may be with the author. No offense meant in my dissent, naturally. I hope you enjoyed the first chapter and will continue to read.
Thank you for making this post. It helps greatly where the username links to the user’s profile on FanFiction.net. This allows me to get to many of the people you have preyed upon and message them on FanFiction to block you and the other users (Act, Childish Perspective, Farla, illhousen, Talarc, The Hooded Author) of this cult so they don’t have to deal with careless, nitpicking, copy and paste reviews. You doing this is a good service by making this easier and I hope you continue to do it!
Many users have already thanked me as this alleviated a lot of headaches for them both now and in the future. Thanks again!
See, you think you’re being sarcastic but this is actually really helpful! I always check to see if someone has blocked me in advance. If they do, I don’t have to review their fic, which is less work for me! Keep up the good work!
Well, I’m glad you find this helpful. It feels even better to know what I am doing is actually helping both sides.
Have a good one.
I’m not part of the cult. :(
You’ve only yourself to blame! If you want hatefriends, you must go forth and review!
Nah, I’d only give y’all an even worse name, because my reviews would be harsher than Farla’s.
Or put another way, you’d make Farla’s reviews look nice in comparison. A diverse ecosystem is necessary for a healthy fandom!
If I started pruning fanfiction, we’d be left with nothing but a stick.
Cult membership is an earned position. You start as a sockpuppet and become a lackey, then it’s cultism.
That cult would never die till the stars came right again, and the secret priests would take great Farla from Her tomb to revive Her subjects and resume Her rule of earth. The time would be easy to know, for then mankind would have become as the Great Old Ones; free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside and all men shouting and killing and revelling in joy. Then the liberated Old Ones would teach them new ways to shout and kill and revel and enjoy themselves, and all the earth would flame with a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom. Meanwhile the cult, by appropriate rites, must keep alive the memory of those ancient grammar ways and shadow forth the prophecy of their return.
I’ve only been doing this for about two months. Have I already become so infamous? :P
I haven’t been active on ffnet in a decade and I’m still there. The criteria is very odd.
I mostly treat ffn as a backup storage for my stories and don’t actually review fic there, I mostly hang out on forums. Plus, I’m rather peripheral to Pokemon fandom to begin with.
I guess being in sympathetic proximity of Farla is enough to put you under her unholy influence, making you a vector of its spread on metapsychological level.
Ia! Ia!
I checked and a whopping total of one person on here has me blocked, and it’s the same one as had already blocked him. You need to get way better at explaining how to the feature works. I don’t want someone getting upset because they thought they blocked me and didn’t.
