Pokemon Academy: Nexus is one that’s vague about the academy’s actual purpose and seems to be treating it as an actual school you get into for school-related reasons rather than just a place for top battlers, so I decide to throw in Kazekami and her team of abominations and say she’s there for the academics. I mean, if we’re being asked what math class we’re taking, it follows that there could be kids there for the sake of being good at math rather than anything to do with pokemon.

ONLY ONE MEGA EVOLUTIONARY POKEMON PER TEAM. Pokemon are strictly prohibited in class, with the exception of Battling, any use in class without permission or supervision will be followed by consequences.

Likes: Kazekami likes just about everything. She loves fashion and does her best to dress up whenever possible in whatever the newest styles are. She’s artistic but practical enough that she thinks of it only as a hobby. She really likes math and chemistry and hopes to get a job using those one day. She participates in contests, but also views that as a fun thing and not a career goal. She especially enjoys having stylish, fancy pokemon and those are easily the most expensive things she owns.

Dislikes: While she doesn’t hate it, she’s just not very into battling. She’s also annoyed by judgmental people/people who act like their opinion is the only correct one or everyone has to act like they do, though she’s more likely to dismiss them quickly than get into a big argument about it.

People: Kazekami gets along with just about everyone. She’s generally chill about other people and doesn’t concern herself about how they should behave. If you’re not a snappy dresser or slack off at schoolwork or don’t know the difference between oil and watercolors…whatever! There’s no one right way to be. Even if she’s not interested in doing something herself, she enjoys hearing about it from people who love the subject and finds their enthusiasm and happiness infectious. For example, she likely wouldn’t show up to watch battle after battle in a tournament, but she’d ask a friend who did about it.

Personality: Bubbly and generally upbeat. If something interests her, she works hard at it, although she doesn’t obsess about being perfect or the very best. She thinks everyone has something different to offer. She applies this particularly to her interest in fashion – if someone asks her advice, she’ll do her best to find the best style for them rather than just duplicating what she likes for herself. She also likes to have one of her pokemon out when she’s hanging out outside of class.

Pokemon Species: Vulpix

Personality: Vulpix is astoundingly cute even for a vulpix but hates everyone and everything and attacks if touched. Vulpix prefers to be perched somewhere away from everyone else, ideally high and on a nice cushion.

Pokemon Species: Granbull

Moves(only four moves allowed): Tackle, lick, roar, scary face.

Personality: As sweet and friendly as Vulpix isn’t, Granbull has a marvelous pedigree and her striking facial structure is exactly what impresses crowds and judges, though her underbite is so pronounced she can’t actually use any biting moves. She overheats easily so she usually just lies around indoors.

Pokemon Species: Jigglypuff

Moves(only four moves allowed): Body slam.

Personality: Jigglypuff is of a very expensive recently bred variant that’s taller and thinner, sort of like a stretched piece of gum. He’s also walleyed and has to be kept on the ground because he’ll toddle off the edge of a table or desk. It’s hard to say if he has a good temperament or just doesn’t understand anything enough to have an opinion on it.

Pokemon Species: Purrloin

Moves(only four moves allowed): Iron tail, yawn, frustration, dream eater.

Personality: Variable. Purrloin is the most active, intelligent and curious of Kazekami’s pokemon, but as a side effect of his oddly shorted front legs that give him his striking kangaroo look, is quite clumsy and has a great deal of difficulty with many things. As a result, he often becomes frustrated and aggressive.

Pokemon Species: Hoppip.

Moves(only four moves allowed): Splash, synthesis, tail whip.

Personality: This shiny pokemon is Kazekami’s most recent purchase. Left to his own devices he just drifts around in the breeze, unconcerned with anything.

Personality: Houndoom puts forth an amicable and eager-to-please vibe. Underneath it, she’s dedicated and loyal. As her previous trainer is no longer interested in raising pokemon, she’s seeking out another.

Level: ~30

Known Moves: Bite, counter, return, fire fang.

Fighting Style: Facing a trainer as a wild pokemon, she’s a cautious, slow fighter, as if unsure what move to use. She never uses her fire moves in those fights and often hesitates, but when attacked, her reactions are swift and her own moves have a great deal of power behind them, showing her potential as a battler.

Sexual Preferences: She’s willing to do absolutely anything she’s asked, but she’ll volunteer to use her mouth. Then she burns the trainer to death.

 

Pokemon Bonds actually has some sort of plotline for the SYOC crowd to interact with. Some people have a special talent with a certain pokemon/pokemon species and so you have trainers with one pokemon who are virtually unstoppable. Anyway somehow they’re in danger because just because you’ve only just realized something is even happening doesn’t mean you can’t immediately guess that there’s an underlying factor that can be extracted by machines but will probably be fatal – that’s how science works!

This is where you had some depth to your character.): Holly is depressed, stressed out, fatalistic, and trying to keep a lid on all of that because the very last thing she wants right now is to have strangers butting in. She barely has the energy to deal with basic human interactions, like talking to the nurse at a pokecenter, and pretending to be normal so people won’t pry is way harder than just not talking to them in the first place.

Appearance (Once again, try to be descriptive, and also don’t go crazy with this. I don’t need a bunch of Effie Trinket’s.): Bruises, scabbed-over scratches and punctures. Uneven messy dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, puffy tired face, greyish cast to her skin.

Outfit: Baggy, ill-fitting clothing, often with tears. She doesn’t care about what she wears.

Grew up with Holly and viewed her fondly as a sort of adopted baby sister…but that fondness has run out in as Holly continues to claim that Sandra gave her Sophia for a bit and just didn’t say anything and then left to another region where she’s really busy and there’s no way to contact her right now okay. Moves: Confuse ray, inferno, dark pulse, double team.

History (I’m expecting AT LEAST a paragraph.): Holly was a surprise pregnancy, born very well after her sister to old parents. As a result, Sandra and then-vulpix Sophia did about as much parenting as her actual parents, visiting Holly regularly first at home and then at her boarding school after their parents became infirm. Holly idolized Sandra and Sophia for as long as she can remember. She wanted to learn about pokemon care and work in a pokecenter when she grew up.

Now Holly has Sophia and a desperate desire to be stronger.
