It was fun, but I think I made it unwinnable just before the end (I let the crow go too early). If somebody has a save from around then, would they mind sharing it? Or just telling me how to go to the fen (which apparently exists) would help, too. Supposedly the crow can return there.
A fen is a wild area, so you must leave the castle. To leave the castle, you must lower the drawbridge. I was stuck on that for a bit but examining things helped me figure it out.
A difficult game, but the ending is worth it!
I don’t recommend playing it if you’ve skipped a meal, though.
