Huh. Well, in a shocking turn of events, reaching the end of a calendar didn’t end the world, so I guess I have more posts to do. Maybe hitting the end of the calender in the kitchen this Dec 31st will have more luck.
More shockingly, my pokemon weren’t healed when I won, so I end up having to escape with no more than a poisoned serperior on its last few hitpoints.
Anyway, outside! The ice has melted, and the formerly frozen trees are now…
Anyway, back to catch pokemon.
Now for Victory Road.
Up top is…Iris, it looks like.
Last time, The End.
But this is Pokemon, and the end never really is the end!
The game restarts with me in my room, just like it began. Oh, the panic I’d have felt if this was my first game. I freaked out enough at being outside my house in Blue.
So now I have to get to Dragonspiral Tower. Luckily this map shows you major locations and I determine that it’s near one of the various cities that are still greyed out. I have the choice of going through a tunnel or crossing a bridge, so naturally, let’s see if I can get across the damn bridge now.
God dammit I just saw the player characters for the new Pokemon games and I think you all should have your days made more miserable too.
Okay, stood in line with the rest to get my shiny new pokegame, yay! Also, Gamestop apparently didn’t keep track of who got a preorder poster and who didn’t, because they gave me another one, also yay! Actually this was a good move on their part, I actually really wanted two since they’re double-sided and the possibility they might accidentally double their bonus means I’ll probably preorder from them again.
Pokemon X requires my 3ds do a system update. Last time I did this, my PS3 stopped working. Also, this system update appears to just be to prevent me from doing “unauthorized” anything. Luckily, the 3ds seems to be more robust.
Now it’s not reading my game.
Last time, my character changed out of her perfectly good pajamas and into her terrible official outfit.
I go down in the hopes Mom will tell me to go back up and take off the designer’s fetish outfit, but she’s fine with it.
Last time, I decide my avatar has too much of her own personality to be me and decide to try playing this under pacifist rules for her.
Ah, and only a few restarts to get a female, excellent. I’m also going to try to get all female pokemon this game.
Last time, finished with the forest!
I make it to the pokecenter, only for Orange to show up and explain them to me. And apparently they’re keeping the combined center/mart aspect. But anyway, now Bunnelby the dumb is on my team too. (more…)
Last time, first badge! At the gate outside, the stopping-me dialogue repeats until she sees I do have the badge.
Okay, time to explore Lumiose! (And avoid saving any more just in case it’s chance that makes the bug kill games.)
Last time, crazy villain flamehair and his creepy conversation with popular actor lady!
The people in this cafe appear to actually be at one because they like drinking coffee and most of the conversation is about that. How interesting.
