Okay, Flare’s knocked out but I don’t want to go all the way back down, so let’s see if I can sneak my way through aaaaaaaaaaaaand it’s Brendan. You gonna heal my pokemon, Brendan? God, for the days when seeing a rival meant I needed to slink away in terror before they dragged my half-dead team into a fight. Also, how the hell did you get up here, you ran the other way. (more…)

One more thing: QR code to get the shiny charm through mystery gift! Unlike the pokemon ones, this may hypothetically cause issues if you ever manage to collect every single pokemon and Birch attempts to give you it. If you aren’t going to do that, it’s really not an issue.

Before I can begin playing, I have to download two updates and say I agree with whatever terms they write, which still include telling me that Nintendo will deliberately destroy my 3DS if I do anything to it they don’t like, which is to say anything, because apparently it’s still legal for game companies to destroy the stuff you paid for. Then I have to download another update for the game itself. This takes forever. Do you want me to just get on with playing the game already? Well so did I. (more…)
