Pokereviews Special Spotlight – not!Homophobia Edition

Someone wrote a straight couple cancer love/tragedy story, pretty standard stuff. However, they decided to dedicate it to the Orlando tragedy while ranting about how even though they don’t support gay people they stand with them in this dark time and recognize that hate crimes are very very wrong and why, some of their best friends are bi! …and they love them for it despite the terrible terrible fact they are bi. They’re so unbiased.

Where’s a Tumblr mob when you need one?

The Other Pokeauthors, Part 0

I did a lot of OC submissions before starting to review in earnest, so I’ll cover the interesting responses I got to those before we move on. For those who haven’t been following the thread, I’ve been submitting Chara everywhere, with a dash of Havan (from The Reconstruction) when I feel slightly more charitable, and Solomon (based on Lazarus from I Miss the Sunrise) for stories with pokemon characters.

Oh, and, we still haven’t fixed that text color problem, so you might want to hit ctrl+A. Edit: have so dammit.

[25] The Other Pokereviews, Part 1

I suppose it was inevitable we would return to FFN. Originally, I just planned to continue The Great SYOC Shadow War, but since I had to skim stories anyway to see if they were SYOC seriously people if you’re going to make bad decisions at least tag it properly, I figured I might as well do some reviewing too. I’m putting a lot less effort into this than Farla so most of my reviews are just copypasta, but if you’re really jonesing for pokereviews you can get your fix here.

Gravity Falls Reviews, Part 3 (The Gospel of Dipper Pines)

I happened to stumble across a fic that I found decent for a while before it jumped off a cliff. It’s an AU where Mabel has bipolar disorder, which prevented her from going to Gravity Falls with Dipper. Somehow, everything happened pretty much the same as in canon despite Mabel’s absence, and Dipper grew up to be a successful paranormal investigator right up until he got murdered. Now Mabel has to investigate.

It is 29 chapters. Buckle up.

The Gospel of Dipper Pines

Read this if you are sick of Mabel always being the side character in EVERYTHING

Well, you’ve certainly piqued my interest.
