Some interesting speculation into Ghetsis’ backstory and motivations, and a game novelization that actually looks decent. Lots of tiny first chapters that go nowhere, otherwise.

One of those worldbuilding primers with “realistic” pokemon that I used as a jumping-off point to explore various possibilities. It was fun! Not much of note otherwise, though.

The Curious and the Shiny got a reboot! I unfortunately fell behind on the original, but the new version is looking great. There are a few good openings, otherwise.

A cute Yueltide fic with delibird, and a really awesome opening about a shiny hunter tracking legendaries WHO GET “IT” PRONOUNS I’M SO HAPPY. Mostly just standard openings otherwise, including another entry into the reincarnation-through-Arceus subgenre.

Some decent stuff today, including a pretty interesting anime AU where Ash is raised by Mewtwo. Most of the trainer fic also at least has nonstandard openings. There is, however, a lot of weirdness around pokemon treatment, including a heartwarming story about a guy using his brother’s ghost for dogfighting.

A story where pokemorphs coexist with various civil rights movements without there being the slightest connection, one where cutting edge technology lets battles be even more boring, porn, Hala using the tapu to victimblame, extremely dubious car-related events, and various crimes against punctuation.
