The topic here was a pretty standard argument, but it ballooned tremendously because my opponent turned out to be a master goalpost-mover. Observe:

Pokeauthors: War of the Revenge Reviews
For some reason the revenge reviews got really active this round. I got 8 in a row, and that was before normal reviewers started arguing with them!
The Other Pokeauthors, Part 51
“The way you review really irks me. You’re too critical and it gets on my nerves. I know you’re trying to help, but the way you go about it is not helping. The word “Pokemon” is Trademarked by the way. So it can be capitalized.”
Also, someone from a while back calms down and unblocks me.
The Other Pokeauthors, Part 52
“This kid is a genius. He’s just not mature. He’s socially secluded and has a speech impediment that causes him to stutter MUCH more than a normal person when trying to form a complex sentence. While other children were off playing bootleg-soccer, he was screwing around with the toaster that wouldn’t work. His mind developed differently than others, and therefore is more attuned to technicality than social interaction. His vocabulary is so huge that it makes his speech impediment WORSE. The only reason he can talk to characters in this chapter is because his responses are short, and not very complicated.

This isn’t more morally dubious than several other fictions that I’ve read, which involved a trainer adopting pokémon, anthropomorphic, female pokémon and then later screwing them in a one-shot chapter of a series of one-shots. Totally consensual incestal adoption! At least I’m not THAT screwed in the head to make a trainer x gallade x blaziken x delphox x hermaphrodite rattata gay orgy vore inside a breadbox at an abandoned leaf-spring factory.

If they were going to be together and the age gap bothered you, the age gap between my parents is twelve years. The age gap between him and the riolu is eight.
[…]
As far as I’m concerned, you ARE my beta reader.”
The Other Pokeauthors, Part 53
“I named him Charmander because that’s what happens when pokemon hatch and you don’t name them that was my point this takes place in the future where trainers are hard to come by so that’s why Charmander wasn’t named.”
The Other Pokeauthors, Part 54
Some capitalization whining, but otherwise very calm.
Pokeauthors Special Spotlight: In Which I Play Armchair Therapist
A histrionic kid has a meltdown and I have to explain to them how to block people because…
“How I’m reading your arguement, I keep hearing you telling me to stop writing anything.”
The Other Pokeauthors, Part 55
“I hope I answered your questions and complaints, as I didn’t really read too much of the review.”
The Other Pokeauthors, Part 56
“They say that he created the universe and was born from nothing. I know this is basically a rip-off of the Christian God, so why wouldn’t it be able to, say, reincarnate a human.” For God’s sake does no one teach mythology anymore.
Otherwise, people were very polite.
Pokeauthors Special Spotlight: On Servitude
“Let’s say the two are walking down the street. They’re conversing about some topic or another. And someone overhears her calling her master “mother/mom.” I just thought that would be weird.”
This one went all over the place, but the main topic of discussion was whether it made sense for pokemon to call humans “Master”.
Pokeauthors Special Spotlight: On Not-Fanfiction, Take Two
Time to do this dance again. This author is more amenable than the last one, and mostly comes around by the end.
(This was about the high school fic with the misery sue boy and the rapey gardevoir, if you need context.)
Pokeauthors Special Spotlight: A Challenger Approaches
The last pokeuathors post turned out to have additional fallout!
St Elmo’s Fire,

You say s*** about good writers, and yet you post crap like this on here. I couldn’t even finish reading it, I was yawning far too much. It’s boring and pure b***, narcissistic crap.
Do this site a favour and learn to write something that is actually WORTH reading, before you start hating on good writer’s work.
Guest has it right, do the world a favour and follow their advice.
But since I know you won’t, I suggest LEARNING TO WRITE before telling someone else they’re a crap writer.
(Raises middle finger) Go f*** yourself. I’m done here.
Dragon out!
——————-
It tickles me that they felt the need to say “(Raises middle finger)”.
Since they were foolish enough to leave a signed review, I decided to play with them a bit.
The Other Pokeauthors, Part 57
“But if that’s how it’s going to be, then I hope you enjoy getting a bad reputation you stuck up tw*t!
(I’m self censoring to be polite, but I might drop it if you keep going by the way.)”
Otherwise, we appear to be connecting to the bizarroverse. People are very polite.
The Other Pokeauthors, Part 58
Pretty calm today.
Pokeauthors Special Spotlight: The Uberteam
Minimal crazy today, just a regular conversation that went long because the author was as longwinded as me. Multiple topics were covered, but the main discussion was about whether or not it made sense for the evil teams to work together.
(This is about the story where Cipher, Magma, and Aqua fuse to create an unstoppable monolith, for context.)
