A pokemon-only society that’s not PMD, and a trainerfic that appears to be walking the walk on pokemon treatment and hints at an unusual plot to come.

[21] The Other Pokereviews, Part 109
Several unusual stories today, including some that engage with pokemon treatment.

[19] The Other Pokereviews, Part 110
A post-apoc story where pokemon have succeeded humans, though so far it looks like it’s effectively just a typical fantasy YA narrative. There is also what looks to be a decent high fantasy thing about the legendaries where Arceus is not the center of the universe.

Obligative Reviews
In an enormous change of pace, pokemon reviews but they’re ones I did as part of the exchange instead.

[18] The Other Pokereviews, Part 111
A story about the original Tao dragon that’s sort of interesting but takes some of the more boring interpretations. Not much else of note.

[17] The Other Pokereviews, Part 112
One really great story featuring real-world mythology and an extremely well-written pokemon POV, and otherwise nothing of note.

[16] The Other Pokereviews, Part 113
A few stories with pokemon whisperers that do not seem to be going anywhere good.

[16] The Other Pokereviews, Part 114
I’m seeing concrit reviews on stories for the first time in a while! I was able to skip some stories because of this.
Several weird entries today, including one thing that was just a religious pitch. Actual stories include an OT fic about Lysandre’s son that does not appear to be using Lysandre in any meaningful capacity, two shinies, and a grimdark Nuzlocke that actually looks pretty decent.

[17] The Other Pokereviews, Part 115
Another Biblepunk thing, and a lot of standard mediocrity. But in brighter news, a journeyfic that actually looks fun and good!

[19] The Other Pokereviews, Part 116
Some decent trainer stories, some less decent trainer stories, and a story about the SuMo protagonist being an eldritch monstrosity! Unfortunately it is not clear where it’s going with it.

[22] The Other Pokereviews, Part 117
[23] The Other Pokereviews, Part 118
A neat take on the Giratina battle in Platinum, an OT fic that actually looks decent, and a story about pokemon rescuing abused trainer pokemon where the pokemon all act like humans.

[26] The Other Pokereviews, Part 119
[32] The Other Pokereviews, Part 120
A great surreal SuMo novelization today, and a HGSS adaptation that was good up until it started talking about how funny it was the trainer’s pokemon didn’t want to get beaten into the pavement for his personal glory because pokemon don’t get to have opinions. I also read through one of the more coherent pokescrewing fics just to complain about the biology.
